Defying Fate” – a fresh Action RPG coming from Nexon, set in the same world as “Vindictus,” which serves as a prequel to “Mabinogi.” Known for its top-notch combat, “Defying Fate” promises an even higher level of intensity.
To date, we’ve verified that four characters will feature in Defying Fate. Notably, all these characters were initially seen in the original Vindictus. Here’s what we currently understand regarding the characters in the demo for Defying Fate: Vindictus.

Every Character in Vindictus: Defying Fate So Far
Here are the four characters that have been announced for Vindictus: Defying Fate so far:
- Lann
- Fiona
- Karok
- Delia
Lann
Back in the original Vindictus, I was among the initial playable characters – that’s right, yours truly, Lann. In that game, I was more than just a warrior; I was an agile, swift-moving combatant who preferred to wield two blades in battle. My moveset was fast and flashy, turning each fight into a dance of steel.
Fast forward to Defying Fate, and guess what? I haven’t changed my role or slowed down one bit. Still the same agile, dual-wielding warrior, ready to take on any challenge that comes my way!
Lann is a character who solely concentrates on offensive moves, lacking defensive abilities. However, he possesses a unique skill called double dodge, enabling him to swiftly maneuver in and out of fights in an instant.
Fiona
Among the initial characters created for the original Vindictus, Fiona is one too. In contrast to Lann, her abilities are well-balanced as she fights using not only a sword but also a shield.
She’s capable of using her shield to ward off foes’ assaults and striking back with counteroffensives. Yet, labeling her purely as a defensive figure would be misleading. Instead, she possesses numerous aggressive strategies, employing her defense mechanism as an extra tactic for evading harm while inflicting it upon others.
Karok
In the game Vindictus, we encounter the half-giant character named Karok once more. Unlike others who prefer conventional weapons, Karok demonstrates an innovative approach by employing his colossal power. Rather than engaging in hand-to-hand combat or using weapons, he swings a pillar as if it were a club, destroying his adversaries with each mighty swing.
In a fashion reminiscent of the initial game, Karok reinforces the powerful thrusts of his pillars using his own limbs. He unleashes devastating strikes and kicks that obliterate any weaker adversaries standing in his path. His gameplay is characterized by his immense strength, durability, and raw power.
Delia
Delia is the latest addition to the cast of Defying Fate, being the fourth character revealed thus far. Her weapon of choice is a massive bastard sword, which seems out of place given her appearance but she utilizes it with chilling effectiveness.
Even though Delia’s sword is much larger than herself, she moves it swiftly and unexpectedly fast. Moreover, she can increase the force of her strikes and deflect enemy attacks using her weapon too. To sum up, Delia dominates the battlefield with poise, strength, and an impressively large blade.
