Alan Carr’s hit Channel 4 series will be back, and will be “bigger” and “more playful”

Alan Carr, who won The Celebrity Traitors and was recently eliminated from Last One Laughing UK, and Susie Dent, known for her appearances on Countdown’s Dictionary Corner, are teaming up again for another series of Secret Genius on Channel 4.

I’m really hooked on this show where everyday people try to prove how smart they are by tackling some seriously tough Mensa-level puzzles! It’s full of unexpected twists and turns, and it’s always surprising to see who can handle the challenges.

The first season premiered in January and has already garnered 2.1 million views for its debut episode. Due to its success, Channel 4 has ordered a second season, which will be expanded from six to seven episodes.

Alan expressed his excitement about the return of Secret Genius and working with Susie once more. He recalled meeting incredibly intelligent people on the previous series who hadn’t realized their own potential, and described the moment they recognized it as truly special.

This season feels different – it’s grander, more fun, and encourages viewers to participate and even find their own hidden talents. I’m excited to meet the new group of brilliant contestants… and see if I can keep pace with them!

Susie shared that she and Alan are excited for the opportunity to find and connect with people who haven’t yet realized their full potential.

She explained that the first season of Secret Genius really transformed the lives of some contestants, and it was inspiring to watch them grow more confident. She’s looking forward to seeing what amazing talent the next season brings.

After winning The Celebrity Traitors, Alan is back with a new show called Castle Man. The show documents his attempt to purchase and manage his own castle.

If you’re a fan of Clarkson’s Farm, you’ll be happy to know it’s made by the same team behind the scenes! It totally feels like the same folks are at work, which is awesome.

Most people going through a midlife crisis might buy a flashy car or change their hairstyle, but Alan has a different dream: he wants to own a castle. Turning 50, he feels it’s the perfect time, and all he asks for is a turret and a drawbridge to call his own.

Secret Genius season 1 is available to stream on Channel 4.

The latest issue of Living Legends, a beautifully illustrated 100-page tribute to Sir David Attenborough, is now available! You can purchase it at newsstands or online.
