Al Pacino reveals terrifying details about his near-death experience - and what he saw after his pulse stopped

As I sit here reflecting on Al Pacino’s harrowing encounter with COVID-19 and his near-death experience, I can’t help but admire the resilience and philosophical outlook of this legendary actor. At 84, he has not only survived a life-threatening illness but also faced financial hardships, yet he remains unbowed and undeterred.

Al Pacino shared chilling accounts of his brush with death during his battle against COVID-19, an ordeal in which his heart stopped beating, prompting frantic efforts by paramedics to resuscitate him.

84-year-old Pacino shared with The New York Times Magazine his experience of being “lost consciousness while at home, unaware of the passage of time, during a struggle with COVID-19.

He informed the publication that he wasn’t breathing, as indicated by a lack of pulse. Shortly after, an ambulance arrived right outside his house. In less than ten minutes, there were around six paramedics in his living room, along with two doctors who appeared to be from another world, wearing outfits reminiscent of space suits.

The actor who played The Godfather became ill, with symptoms such as an unusual lack of well-being, high temperature, and dehydration. In response, one of his assistants arranged for a nurse because, unexpectedly, he fainted.

He stated, “I didn’t perceive any bright white light or anything at all. There’s nothing there.” Later on, he added, “I had never given it a thought in my life. Yet, actors sometimes find it intriguing to claim they have died once. What does it mean when there is no more?

Although the event was frightening, the veteran actor finds comfort in having his children nearby and takes pride in the vast collection of works that preserve his legacy.

Nevertheless, the 84-year-old appears to view death in a unique perspective, seeing it more as an inevitable part of life. He seems to take it in stride.

He stated that it wasn’t something he had requested, but rather it seemed to appear, similar to many other occurrences, as he spoke with the magazine. Furthermore, he expressed that talking about death isn’t a morbid topic for him.

Among the movies, which would Jack and Jill (starring Adam Sandler) be the one that Jack thinks his youngest child, born in June 2023, should watch first since he finds it amusing?

At a point in my life when I was running out of funds, having discovered that my accountant was behind bars and time was of the essence, he explained that he had to resort to taking this thing.

In 2010, Al Pacino’s ex-financial advisor, Kenneth Starr, admitted guilt for stealing approximately $33 million from his clients’ funds to support his lavish lifestyle. This deceit resulted in a tax debt of around $188,000 owed by the actor to the Internal Revenue Service (IRS).

Starr was sentence to seven and half years in prison for the ordeal.

The Academy Award-winning performer boasts a lengthy resume, featuring critically acclaimed movies such as Martin Scorsese’s The Irishman and Francis Ford Coppola’s The Godfather, yet he confesses that working on set was more enjoyable during his youthful years.

In an interview with NYT Magazine, he mentioned that while he’s creating movies, he often isn’t particularly content. He finds the process rather tiresome, but he can retreat to his recreational vehicle for some personal freedom whenever he desires.

Indeed, it’s fascinating to ponder over how a distinguished stage performer spends their downtime between takes on the film set. Unsurprisingly, they too indulge in popular video platforms such as YouTube and TikTok, much like many others!

‘There’s so many things on YouTube,’ he said. ‘I even like TikTok when I see it.’

He particularly enjoys watching videos about rescue dogs and recently watched a video about a deaf girl getting her hearing again.

‘I love that stuff!’ he told the magazine.

For his upcoming character, the actor is preparing to portray King Lear from William Shakespeare’s work. Last month, he was seen in Los Angeles wearing regal clothing, hinting at his role as a monarch.

Additionally, he was part of the festivities for his 30-year-old partner, Noor Alfallah, during her birthday celebration, which was attended by many famous individuals.

On Thursday, a heartwarming Instagram video emerged from Noor’s 3y-old birthday party, featuring the joyful couple (parents of little Roman born in 2023) who couldn’t keep their eyes off each other. The Academy Award-winning actor was seen assisting her in blowing out the candles on her birthday cake.

Pacino has four kids, with his other three children being adults.

He shares daughter Julie Marie with ex Jan Tarrant, and twins Anton and Olivia with ex Beverly D’Angelo.
