Agent from Above is a fantasy series that mixes Taiwanese folklore with modern storytelling. It centers on Han Chieh, a spirit medium played by Kai Ko, who is obligated to help the Third Crown Prince (Wang Po-chieh) as repayment for a past error. He does this by investigating and resolving supernatural events affecting people. During his investigations, he teams up with Yeh Tzu, a cheerful college student portrayed by Buffy Chen, and detective Chang Min (Johnny Yang), who both have the ability to see spirits.
The story follows their dangerous battles against the enigmatic and cruel Chen Chi-sha, as they investigate the origins of Wu Tien-chi, a powerful entity jeopardizing the fragile peace between humans and demons. Through these challenges, Han Chieh rediscovers his life’s purpose and the real power of his abilities.
