Cyclops is entering the ‘Shadows of Tomorrow’ with a significant change, including a completely new costume.
A new cover for the upcoming issue of Cyclops #4, illustrated by Federico Vicentini and Marcio Menyz, reveals a dramatic change in the hero’s appearance. Instead of a new visor, Cyclops will be fighting battles with his eyes covered by ripped bandages. You can see the cover art below.

What To Know About Marvel’s Latest Cyclops Comics
Currently, writer Alex Paknadel and artist Rogê Antônio are working on a new limited series called Cyclops. It’s one of three new limited series – alongside Rogue by Erica Schultz and Luigi Zagaria, and Magik & Colossus by Ashley Allen and German Peralta – that take place within the larger Shadows of Tomorrow storyline. This storyline, along with three existing ongoing series and several new ones, builds on the events of the recently finished Age of Revelation, which explored a possible near future for the Marvel Universe, and sets the stage for what comes next.
So, the first issue of the new Cyclops comic dropped on February 11th, and things went south fast. Scott Summers was traveling across the country when he got ambushed by Donald Pierce and his new Reavers. But the real kicker? His visor got completely wrecked in the fight! Now he’s not only blind, but he can’t control his optic blasts either, which is seriously dangerous.
Cyclops is being hunted by a large group of dangerously powerful killers who are targeting mutants. He recently crossed paths with Mei, a young woman who found him at a particularly vulnerable moment. While they’re strangers, they’ll likely need to team up to survive the coming conflict, as any ally is better than facing it alone.
Beyond the three new limited series, the Shadows of Tomorrow event from Marvel Comics features several other titles, including Inglorious X-Force, Wade Wilson: Deadpool, Generation X-23, and Storm: Earth’s Mightiest Mutant by Murewa Ayodele and Federica Mancin. Completing the event are Wolverine, X-Men, and Uncanny X-Men, which has surprised readers with a new perspective on a well-known villain.
Cyclops #4 from Marvel Comics goes on sale on May 6.
