Netflix has just released a new documentary series called The Dinosaurs, which takes viewers back millions of years to the age of dinosaurs. Produced by Steven Spielberg, the series features incredibly realistic and frightening dinosaurs – even more impressive than those in Jurassic Park.
A new four-part documentary series, The Dinosaurs, is now streaming on Netflix, starting March 6th. Morgan Freeman narrates the series, which features hour-long episodes. Keith Scholey, Darryl Frank, and Justin Falvey served as executive producers, alongside Steven Spielberg and Amblin Documentaries. The stunning visual effects and animation were created by Industrial Light & Magic (ILM), the team behind Life on Our Planet.
According to Dan Tapster, the showrunner, the original series Life on Our Planet only had eight 50-minute episodes, which meant they could only briefly cover many topics, including dinosaurs. He told Netflix’s Tudum that the new series, The Dinosaurs, will allow them to explore the dinosaur story completely and in more detail than ever before.
As a fan, I was really excited to hear from the series director, Nick Shoolingin-Jordan. He explained that this new series felt like the next step after Life on Our Planet. He said that earlier series was almost a preview, and this one finally dives into the complete story, promising a truly thrilling ride for viewers like me!
I’m so excited for The Dinosaurs! It’s a massive documentary series, and the logline promises an incredible journey back to when dinosaurs ruled the Earth. Knowing Steven Spielberg and his Amblin Documentaries are involved – plus the team that made Life on Our Planet – I have a feeling this is going to be something truly special. It’s going to cover the entire history of dinosaurs, from their beginnings to their extinction, spanning hundreds of millions of years!
The Dinosaurs is streaming now on Netflix.
