I was so thrilled to see Erin Doherty at the EE BAFTA Film Awards 2026! She really stood out as she arrived at The Royal Festival Hall in London on Sunday – she looked absolutely amazing.
The 33-year-old actress, known for her role in Adolescence, made a striking impression on the red carpet in a beautiful navy dress, posing for photos.
The eye-catching number featured a plunging neckline which flowed into a dramatic puffy skirt.
Erin teamed the look with black pointed heels and accessorised with silver jewellery.
Although the actress isn’t up for any awards this year, she will still be at the ceremony to present, along with stars like Olivia Cooke and Aimee Lou Wood.
The EE BAFTA Film Awards will celebrate the best new movies on Sunday evening at the Royal Festival Hall, part of the Southbank Centre.
Alan Cumming will host this year’s awards ceremony, celebrating the year’s best films and welcoming stars like Leonardo DiCaprio, Timothée Chalamet, Jacob Elordi, and Michael B. Jordan.
Guests arriving on the red carpet will enjoy music from DJ Neev Spencer, who hosts shows on Magic FM. Clara Amfo and Ali Plumb will be reporting live from outside the famous London venue.
The show will feature a star-studded lineup of guest hosts, including Alicia Vikander, Cillian Murphy, Ethan Hawke, Maggie Gyllenhaal, Sadie Sink, and the popular British musician Stormzy.
The Royal Festival Hall will host appearances by stars like Kerry Washington, Minnie Driver, Monica Bellucci, Patrick Dempsey, and Regé-Jean Page, as well as many other notable guests.
The evening’s entertainment will feature a variety of performers, including a special performance outside the US by KPop group Golden from Demon Hunters. The song, “HUNTR/X,” will be sung by JAE, AUDREYNUNA, and REI AMI.
During the In Memoriam segment, British singer Jessie Ware will honor the memory of those we’ve lost with a heartfelt performance of a song by Barbara Streisand.
This year, Dame Donna Langley will receive BAFTA’s highest honor, the Fellowship Award, as part of the Special Awards ceremony.
The head of NBCUniversal Entertainment, a British executive, will be honored for her long and successful career. She’s widely considered one of the most important and admired leaders in the entertainment world.
Clare Binns, Creative Director at Picture House Cinemas, will receive the BAFTA Outstanding British Contribution to Cinema award.
This award acknowledges her dedication to supporting unique and varied films shown in cinemas across the UK.
Everyone anticipates multiple wins for Paul Thomas Anderson’s new film, which received an impressive fourteen nominations this year.
However, it’s up against strong contenders, including the horror film Sinners, which received thirteen nominations, and Hamnet, a poignant drama directed by Chloé Zhao about the death of Shakespeare’s son, with eleven nominations.
Based on Maggie O’Farrell’s acclaimed novel and focusing on the family of William Shakespeare, the film Hamnet has received more BAFTA nominations than any other film directed by a woman.
Jessie Buckley, the Irish actress, has received an award nomination for her performance in a film, following wins at the Golden Globes and Critics Choice Awards, as well as nominations from the Academy Awards and Screen Actors Guild.
Paul Mescal, despite not receiving an Oscar nomination, is now in contention for a BAFTA award as a supporting actor.
Marty Supreme and Timothée Chalamet are aiming for continued success after receiving eleven BAFTA nominations – including for Best Film and Best Actor – building on their recent wins at the Golden Globes and Critics Choice Awards.
Both Frankenstein and Sentimental Value received eight nominations, while I Swear and Bugonia each earned five. The Ballad of Wallis Island, Pillion, and F1 all received three nominations.
The nominees for the Leading Actress BAFTA Award include Rose Byrne (If I Had Legs I’d Kick You), Kate Hudson (Song Sung Blue), Chase Infiniti (One Battle After Another), Renate Reinsve (Sentimental Value), and Emma Stone (Bugonia).
Leonardo DiCaprio is nominated for a BAFTA Award for the seventh time, and could potentially win his second, for his leading role in the critically acclaimed film, One Battle After Another.
This year’s BAFTA Film Award nominees include first-timers Robert Aramayo, Odessa A’zion, Rose Byrne, Chase Infiniti, Michael B. Jordan, Inga Ibsdotter Lilleaas, Stellan Skarsgård, and Teyana Taylor.
Emma Baehr, who leads awards and content at BAFTA, expressed excitement about hosting many of this year’s talented nominees in London for the EE BAFTA Film Awards. She described the event as a lively celebration of the artistry, skill, and teamwork behind both British and international films.
