The police thriller Prisoner is now available to watch on a streaming service in the UK. The show stars Izuka Hoyle and Tahar Rahim, and follows a prison officer and an inmate who must work together when their transport is attacked.
All six episodes of the thrilling new series, created and co-written by Matt Charman, are now available to stream on NOW and Sky Atlantic.
This thriller centers around Amber Todd, a dedicated prison officer, and her dangerous assignment: transporting Tibor Stone, a convicted killer, to court. Stone intends to testify against the criminal organization he used to work for, making the journey particularly risky.
But when the convoy is suddenly attacked, Amber has no choice but to trust him with her life. Now, they’re handcuffed together and must hurry to reach their destination, hoping to survive and arrive on schedule.
As they journey on, the fragile partnership between the characters faces increasing pressure from the pursuing syndicate. Their ability to trust each other is challenged, and simply staying alive presents a difficult ethical problem, pushing Amber to question her own limits and how much she’s willing to sacrifice to protect those she cares about.

I’m really excited about the cast for Prisoner! They’ve got some amazing actors like Eddie Marsan, Catherine McCormack, and Leonie Benesch, plus up-and-comers like Finn Bennett and Laurie Davidson. Honestly, with Brían F O’Byrne, Ken Nwosu, Youssef Kerkour, and Sam Troughton rounding things out, the supporting cast is seriously impressive – it’s packed with talent!
Since it first aired, the series has drawn comparisons to a popular police thriller. The Guardian described it as a streamlined, *Line of Dutystyle police drama, and also highlighted its polished and engaging narrative.
The Times agreed, describing the film as a thrilling action movie that fans of the BBC series Line of Duty will likely enjoy. They praised the strong performances of Izuka Hoyle and Tahar Rahim as a key reason why it works.
It’s definitely a fun, over-the-top show, but it also has surprising plot twists, unexpected turns, and ends with a dramatic shootout and a lot of action.
Prisoner is streaming now via NOW and Sky.
The latest issue of Living Legends is now available! This special 100-page, full-color magazine celebrates the life and work of Sir David Attenborough. You can find it at newsstands or order it online.
