According to Deadline, Andy Serkis is directing The Hunt for Gollum, and Kate Winslet, known for her role in Mare of Easttown, will be starring in it. Details about her character are currently being kept secret.

Kate Winslet turned down the role of Éowyn in the original Lord of the Rings trilogy due to prior commitments, according to reports. The One Ring website stated that Miranda Otto ultimately played the character.
This week, Elijah Wood hinted that he’s participating in The Hunt for Gollum, a film scheduled to come out in 2027.
He said in an interview with The Times that, while it hasn’t been formally confirmed, Ian hinted at it during a convention last August.
