Cody Simpson‘s swimming era appears to be well and truly over.
Okay, you guys, I’m FREAKING OUT! He just hinted that new music is coming! I’ve been glued to his Instagram and TikTok all week, and he’s been dropping these little snippets of songs… it’s killing me, but it’s the BEST kind of torture! I seriously can’t wait!
Cody announced the arrival of spring with an Instagram post featuring a light blue square, a nod to his nickname, ‘Prince Neptune’.
Simpson seems to be going back to using a name he previously featured on his 2020 poetry collection and his 2022 clothing line.
The pale blue theme is one closely associated with his Prince Neptune brand.
The artist has been posting videos from the recording studio, and it’s obvious they’re really enthusiastic about the new music they’re creating.
‘I’ve never had so much fun making music,’ Cody enthused in a TikTok post.
He explained that after a year of focusing on music and songwriting following his time as a swimmer…
A few months ago, I went into the studio feeling receptive and hopeful, with a strong sense that a fresh, unique sound and feeling were about to emerge – and they did.
Cody and swimmer Emma McKeon ended their four-year relationship in late 2025. He’s recently been in the news again after retiring from competitive swimming.
He seemed to really enjoy himself at the Australian Grand Prix in Melbourne this weekend.
Posing trackside alongside famed DJ Fisher, Cody stuck out his tongue in a cheeky display.
Cody seemed to be having fun being single on Friday night, attending a fancy Formula One party in Melbourne with an attractive woman whose identity isn’t currently known.
He arrived with a stunning female friend he made sure to keep away from the cameras.
The Daily Mail saw Cody put his arm around a woman’s waist and guide her into Marmont at Crown, shortly after he had finished taking solo photos.
Cody didn’t want cameras to capture his arrival with the blonde woman, even though other celebrities at the glamorous event were filmed arriving.
Daily Mail has reached out to Cody Simpson for comment.
He went out with a friend shortly after it was revealed he and his swimmer wife, Emma, had separated.
Last month, Cody’s sister, Alli, appeared on The Morning Show and confirmed that Cody and the Olympic athlete had broken up and were no longer together.
‘She is like sunshine in human form, so I’m just so happy they can move forward,’ Alli said.
Alli didn’t say why she and her partner are separating, but she shared that they both want privacy as they figure out what’s next after dating since April 2022.
She explained that she didn’t want to get involved in their personal matters, emphasizing that it was their private time and that she cared for both of them very much.
It looks like Cody is moving on from the relationship. He’s been focusing on making new music and has been seen at several high-profile events recently.
