Red Dead Redemption 3’s Lead Character Has Gamers Divided

When Red Dead Redemption 2 came out in 2018, it was an incredibly expansive and detailed game, and it quickly became obvious that players would enjoy it for a long time.

You can easily lose track of time simply exploring the game’s world on horseback, even if you’re not focused on completing everything. It’s enjoyable just to wander around, even without advancing the story.

Honestly, it didn’t really feel like we needed a third game for a long time – so many of us were still totally hooked on the second one! But lately, I’m hearing more and more chatter about a sequel, which is exciting. The biggest thing everyone’s talking about now is who they’d want to play as – it’s fun imagining all the possibilities!

Who Should Star In Red Dead Redemption 3?

Rockstar Games

On Reddit, fans are chatting about who they’d like to play the lead character if another Red Dead Redemption game is made.

Despite many different ideas, including introducing a brand new character, a few options consistently stood out as potentially popular with audiences.

One commenter strongly suggested Sadie Adler if the game features a returning character. They’d love to see her have her own independent adventures following the events of Red Dead Redemption 2, separate from the stories of John Marston or Dutch van der Linde – just Sadie pursuing her own path.

I’d be happy to play with any of these characters. It would also be great to see a prequel story focusing on a younger Arthur and John, being mentored by Dutch, leading up to the events at Blackwater.

Many players suggested setting the game further in the past, with the Wild West being a particularly popular choice. One player explained, “It would be great to go back to the Wild West and lead a gang where my decisions actually have an impact on the story.”

We Still Have GTA 6 To Come

Rockstar Games

Despite all the exciting rumors, it’s important to realize that Rockstar is completely focused on GTA VI right now. The game’s success is vital for the company’s future, and they’ll be dedicating all their efforts to it for the next several years.

Sadly, it looks like we won’t be getting a new game in the popular cowboy series for quite some time. For now, we’ll just have to keep enjoying Red Dead Redemption 2, which is still a fantastic game.
