Boyzone star Shane Lynch’s daughter Billie Rae complains about working a minimum-wage job while her father sells out shows on the band’s farewell tour

Shane Lynch’s daughter, Billie Rae, has expressed frustration about having to work a low-paying job, especially while her father is performing to large crowds on his band’s final tour.

This week, the 17-year-old daughter of a Boyzone singer shared a TikTok video with her 16,000 followers, showing herself dancing at home. She used the video to point out a difference between two things.

She shared a post expressing her frustration that her father is performing sold-out concerts at Emirates Stadium this summer while she’s stuck working a low-paying job.

Boyzone revealed plans last year for a special, final concert called ‘One For The Road’ at London’s Emirates Stadium on June 5th and 6th, 2026.

The stadium shows will mark the band’s reunion for their first performance together since 2019.

The popular Irish boyband caused a huge reaction from fans when they shared the news on BBC Radio 2 last September.

Boyzone’s Ronan Keating announced the band hopes to get back together in 2026, following the positive reception to their recent documentary.

The popular boy band first became famous in 1993 with its members Ronan, Keith Duffy, Mikey Graham, Shane Lynch, and Stephen Gately. Sadly, Stephen Gately passed away in 2009 at just 33 years old.

I was chatting with Scott Mills recently, and we were discussing the incredible reaction to the Boyzone documentary, ‘No Matter What,’ which came out last February. It’s really sparked a lot of conversations about what the future holds for the band, which is amazing to see!

He described the public’s reaction as incredible, explaining that they’d been discussing their experiences for three decades and felt this moment might signify the conclusion of their story.

We’ve been discussing it recently, and it seems like 2026 could be a good time for Boyzone to consider doing something new.

The band already had fans excited, but they added even more fuel to the fire by posting a series of photos on Instagram with the message ‘the journey continues.’ They also asked fans to join their mailing list for updates.

Boyzone initially broke up in 2000 after seven years as a group, with each member wanting to focus on their individual careers. However, they later got back together in 2007.

They toured the world with their Thank You And Goodnight farewell shows between 2018 and 2019.

When Scott Mills asked how his bandmates were, Ronan shared that they were doing really well. He explained that the reaction to their documentary was incredible – even people who weren’t Boyzone fans reached out to say they’d learned a lot they didn’t know.

He shared a funny story about how widely the documentary was seen: British Airways showed it on their in-flight entertainment system, and he actually spotted someone watching it on a flight right next to him. He found it a bit awkward and ended up covering his head with a blanket!

Mikey, one of the original members of the band, feels that their most successful period is over and best remembered as history.

He revealed in a three-part documentary series that he became disillusioned with the music industry, which led to his decision to leave it permanently.

Now 52, Graham lives a simple, wandering life in the Irish countryside, a stark contrast to the exciting and fast-paced travel he experienced when he was younger.

‘I just wanted out,’ he admitted in No Matter What. ‘And to get away from that toxic environment.’

Ronan shared that he hasn’t talked to Mikey, who was known as ‘The Quiet One’ in Boyzone, for the past four years.

Viewers of the Boyzone documentary ‘No Matter What’ have strongly criticized Louis Walsh for how he treated Stephen and Mikey when he managed the band.

Fans especially reacted to Louis remembering how Stephen, who sadly passed away in 2009, had been publicly revealed as gay in British newspapers.

People watching said the former X Factor judge appeared to smile in a way that seemed inappropriate while discussing the story, and some even accused him of being the one who shared it with the media.

One viewer expressed their disgust, saying that seeing Louis Walsh discuss Stephen’s outing in the news was deeply upsetting.

Throughout the documentary, band members share memories of difficult times while managed by Louis, with Ronan specifically describing him as ruthless and claiming he attempted to sabotage his career.

Boyzone: No Matter What includes previously unreleased video of manager Louis Walsh and band members Mikey, Ronan, Keith, Shane, and the late Stephen Gately, along with interviews from people who knew the group well.

Viewers immediately took to X, formerly Twitter, to discuss Louis Walsh after watching the documentary. Many felt he was involved in revealing Stephen Gately’s sexuality, pointing to what they described as a disturbing expression of glee when he saw a newspaper article about it.

I just watched the Boyzone documentary, and I have to say, Louis Walsh came across terribly. His smugness was really unpleasant – he just seems like a nasty person.

Oh my gosh, watching old #Boyzone clips, especially from the #NoMatterWhat era, just kills me! Seriously, Louis Walsh and Rav Singh? They were absolutely awful to Stephen and Mikey! Those two deserved the world, and to see them treated like that just makes me so angry! They deserved SO much better, honestly.

‘Louis Walsh. Wow. Comes across as completely vile!’

Daily Mail approached representatives for Louis for comment.
