KIIS FM staff STOOD DOWN and now fear for their jobs as Kyle and Jackie O show comes to an end

Everyone working on The Kyle and Jackie O Show was shocked last night to find out the show was being cancelled, along with other programs across Australia.

ARN, the company that owns KIIS FM, publicly announced on Tuesday evening that Jackie O Henderson’s contract, worth $100 million, had been cancelled. The announcement was made through the Australian Securities Exchange (ASX).

Employees found out about the news through social media, and production on the show has been temporarily paused.

A source told news.com.au that everyone involved with the show is very close and considers each other like family, which is why they’re feeling so stressed and upset about the current situation.

The team is really upset and disappointed. They’re struggling with the sudden cancellation of the show, especially after being so successful.

Oh my gosh, you will NOT believe this! I just heard from a source that the producers are having an emergency meeting today! It’s all because of what happened with Henderson – remember when he just walked off the show on February 20th? Things have been so stressful ever since, and now it’s come to this. I’m seriously on the edge of my seat!

In a statement to the Australian Stock Exchange, ARN announced that Henderson had informed company leaders she could no longer work with Kyle Sandilands after his on-air remarks caused her significant distress.

Henderson has been offered an alternate show on the network.

Sandilands has been suspended due to serious misconduct and has 14 days to fix the issue, or they will be fired.

People at ARN are suggesting the end of the Kyle and Jackie O Show might actually be a positive development for the network, rather than a disaster.

Because revenue is down and the contracts with Henderson and Sandilands are so expensive – leading some to believe the show isn’t making a profit – a source inside the company suggested ARN might be trying to cancel the program as a cost-saving measure.

According to a source who spoke to The Australian, ARN has been facing financial difficulties for the past two years. These problems stem from overpaying for assets and declining revenue due to boycotts in Melbourne, creating a significant crisis.

He’s an older, somewhat irritable man who tries to act much younger on the radio, and she’s become more and more focused on things like astrology and holistic healing. As a result, they’ve drifted away from each other.

This deal is a huge success for Australian Radio Network (ARN), and it likely marks the end of Hamish McLennan’s tenure as chair, as he was the one who approved it.

Although Henderson hasn’t made any public statements since the news came out, a Daily Mail reporter was able to reach her on Tuesday, shortly before her departure was officially confirmed.

She went from her large home in Sydney’s eastern suburbs to Newtown, a lively area in the inner west, to check out a wellness studio with a friend. It was located just off the busy King Street.

Even though she was about to receive shocking news, Henderson tried to appear positive, managing a smile and saying, ‘Good! I’m good!’ as she walked out of her sound healing appointment.

The mother, looking polished with a fresh hairstyle, full makeup, and a white summer dress, said her appointment went really well.

Perhaps tellingly, she alluded to ‘healing’ in the wake of the bruising incident with Sandilands.

‘[I’m] feeling healed. Yes, healing,’ she said while making a beeline for her black SUV.

Asked about her return to the air, Henderson was evasive, simply stating, ‘I can’t say anything about that right now, I’m afraid.’

When asked if she’d talked to Sandilands after leaving the show in tears, she seemed startled, quickly got into her car, and drove off.

In 2023, Sandilands and Henderson agreed to a historic 10-year contract with ARN valued at $200 million, making it the largest media deal ever seen in Australia.

However, Henderson recently began saying she would be willing to walk away if she wasn’t happy.

The duo have worked together for over 20 years.
