Good news for fans of Scrubs: the Janitor will be returning in the show’s revival, even though it was previously said he wouldn’t be involved.
Fans were surprised to learn that Neil Flynn, known and loved for playing the Janitor, would return for the show’s reboot, as he hadn’t appeared in any trailers or cast lists.
According to Deadline, actor Patton Flynn will reprise his role, joining Christa Miller (who played Jordan) in the upcoming project.

Joining the show as guest stars are Rachel Bilson, known for her role in The OC, along with Andy Ridings from All My Children and Lisa Gilroy of Twisted Metal.
According to the report, Bilson will play Charlie, a mysterious and attractive new character at Sacred Heart, and Ridings will play Wes, a pilot. Gilroy has been cast as Lily, a harpist who performs in the hospital lobby.

I’ve already started watching the new show on Disney+ – it dropped on Thursday, February 26th – but I’m a little confused! We haven’t seen the Janitor character yet, and I’m two episodes in. I’m hoping he shows up soon!
Zach Braff, known for his role in Scrubs, recently didn’t mention that the character of Flynn has already been cast in the upcoming reboot of the show.
When asked by Esquire about the possibility of Ken Jenkins, who played Flynn or Dr. Kelso, returning to the show, Zach Braff said that would definitely happen if they get a second season.

We’re still finalizing plans for the first season. The scripts for the last two episodes of the nine-episode season are currently being written.
So, Ken and Neil are up for it, which is awesome! But honestly, I’m wondering if we have the time and resources in the first nine episodes to really do their story justice. It could happen, though – I’m hoping we can make it work!
I don’t have the answer for you right now, but if we’re fortunate enough to get a second season, it’s definitely something the team and I are hoping to make happen!
Scrubs season 10 is available on Disney+.
