Harper and Yasmin aren’t done yet.
HBO has announced that the popular drama Industry will return for a fifth and final season before the current season ends. The show, which depicts the fast-paced world of high finance in the UK, has been very successful for HBO. Season four of Industry has received excellent reviews and attracted record numbers of viewers.
HBO has announced that season 5 will be the last season of Industry, even before the current season 4 concludes. The show’s creators, Mickey Down and Konrad Kay, will return for these final episodes, which will follow Yasmin Kara-Hanani and Harper Stern as they make one last push for success.
As a huge fan of Industry, I’m thrilled to see season 4 is really connecting with audiences! It’s averaging around 1.7 million viewers in the US, counting both those who watched on HBO and streamed it on Max. That’s a fantastic 30% jump from season 3, which everyone loved anyway. It’s a little bittersweet, though, because the creators have decided season 5 will be the last one. It’s great they’re ending the show while it’s still so popular, but I’m definitely going to miss it!
Season four of Industry added Max Minghella and Charlie Heaton to the cast, both of whom have become key players in the series. The ongoing dynamic between Yasmin and Harper continues to drive the show, but the supporting characters within the world of finance have also added depth and excitement to the overall storyline.
The season 4 finale promises to finally reveal answers in Harper and Yasmin’s investigation of the CFO at Tender, a company Harper previously exposed for its wrongdoing. This comes after the pair accomplished their objectives but still felt unfulfilled – a feeling that has been central to the entire season.
Beyond the two main characters, it’s currently unknown who will return for season 5 of Industry. Season 4 featured significant events, including characters departing or, tragically, being killed off. The show appears to be heading towards its conclusion, and the season 4 finale will likely set the stage for the final storyline.
While we don’t know exactly when the last season will air, it’s clear that Industry is heading towards its end. The season 4 finale might hint at what the final season will be about, and also provide a satisfying conclusion to the current season.
The final episode of Industry season 4 airs Sunday, March 1 at 8 p.m. ET on HBO and HBO Max.
