The leaked emails Channel Nine don’t want you to see: Brook sent a legal letter begging dinner party from hell be pulled from the air – producers’ response will shock you

Some are calling it the worst dinner party in MAFS history.

And now I know why.

Wednesday night’s show wasn’t simply entertaining; it was a deliberately shocking attempt to boost ratings. Brook Crompton, the bride featured in the episode, believes it should never have aired.

The harsh comments about someone’s hair and shoes actually hide a much larger issue: official complaints, legal threats, and a serious disagreement about responsibility and proper care.

This wasn’t just messy. It was disturbing.

Following the second dinner party event, Brook submitted multiple written complaints to the production crew, expressing worries about their responsibility to ensure everyone’s safety and well-being.

In an email dated November 4, she wrote: ‘I was in no state to be filmed while intoxicated.’

She claimed the show’s producers didn’t check if she was able to film safely after she had been drinking before the dinner party.

The email also stated that if a participant shows up having already had something to drink, the production team needs to make sure they’re able to film.

She explained that there hadn’t been proper evaluations or help offered, and she expressed serious worry about the situation.

After her initial complaint was denied, Brook took stronger action by sending a legal notice demanding the complete removal of all footage from Dinner Party 2, not just changes or edits.

The team explained they have procedures in place to manage alcohol service safely, with staff properly trained and alcohol consumption carefully watched.

They acknowledged knowing Brook had brought champagne to the party and mentioned a message she received limiting her to two glasses over a two-and-a-half-hour timeframe.

Witnesses reported that when Brook arrived at the party, she didn’t appear to be under the influence of alcohol, either in how she looked or how she spoke. She also seemed clear-headed during a conversation before dinner.

This meant there was no reason to deviate from the usual process of finishing the show, and it would air as planned.

In a follow-up email, Brook explained that while he understood the production team needed to protect themselves and the show, he also had a responsibility to prioritize his own health and wellbeing.

I’m deeply concerned about this issue and expect everyone involved in production to take full responsibility and prioritize safety in the future.

Looking back, producers maybe should have listened to Brook’s concerns. What viewers saw on Wednesday night was a truly memorable – and troubling – moment in Married At First Sight history, and it brings up important questions about whether Channel Nine did enough to support the well-being of the people participating in the show.

I reached out to Channel Nine for comment but at the time of publication, hadn’t heard back.

Just as the dinner party was starting, Brook’s husband, Chris, and the others thought she had left the experiment for good. However, she surprisingly reappeared, announcing she still had things to resolve.

She declared as she sat down, ‘I won’t let my friends handle conflicts with others on their own.’

From there, things spiralled.

The conflict, which started during the Red Flag/Green Flag competition with claims of dishonesty and a manufactured romance, flared up again intensely.

Gia started the argument, immediately insulting Stella. She sarcastically called her ‘Barking babe’ and told her to ‘go back in your kennel, babe’.

The wording struck a nerve, echoing last year’s controversial ‘muzzle your woman’ comment.

Then Brook joined in.

Hey, could you please take off those boots? And if you’re going to buy boots like that, it’s best to get real leather instead of fake. Seriously, where did you even get them – Target?

It wasn’t playful shade – it was deliberate humiliation.

It was hard to miss the irony. This bride had previously been upset by comments about women’s bodies during the show’s casting process, which relationship expert John Aiken pointed out was a striking contradiction.

Alissa tried to calm the situation, but Brook responded with harsh anger, shouting at her with insults like, “Alissa, shut up! You’re a terrible person!”

The insults escalated – ‘fake,’ ‘loser,’ ‘f***ing lame b***h’.

Honestly, seeing Alissa like that broke my heart. She just finally stood up and said, ‘I can’t take this anymore! I’m not going to let you keep hurting me.’ It was so powerful – she basically said she’s had enough of the bullying and just wants to be left alone. She admitted she’s not going to please everyone, and that’s okay. It was a really brave moment.

But nothing could silence Brook and her cronies. It was deeply uncomfortable to watch.

Having watched this show for a long time, I’ve witnessed plenty of dramatic moments – arguments, revelations, and relationship breakdowns. But this particular episode wasn’t exciting or shocking; it was just unpleasant to watch.

What’s particularly striking about the criticism is that it’s not just focused on the current contestants. Former bride Awhina Rutene directly stated: ‘This isn’t about how the show is edited; it’s how these people are behaving. You can’t blame the producers when contestants are saying hurtful things themselves – it reflects their character.’

Ankita Karungalekar, who left the show following controversy with her partner Micah Lomu, said she watched it after getting a lot of messages from viewers.

I’m still reeling, honestly. What they did on the show was just… awful. It genuinely hurt my feelings, and I can’t believe they even thought it was okay to broadcast that. It was so disrespectful, I really don’t think that episode should have ever seen the light of day.

Former bride Rhi Disljenkovic called the behaviour ‘vile.’

‘Never seen anything like it. How can anyone be backing this? Why is no one speaking up?’

Ashleigh also shared a concerning post, claiming there’s even more damaging footage of Gia and Brooke that hasn’t been shown, and that they will try to blame the way the show was edited.

Considering Brook’s official statement that she was drunk and her request to review the video, that comment seems more significant now. While Brook believes she shouldn’t have been let into the room while intoxicated, other women who have been in the same situation say her actions are concerning no matter how the footage is edited.

The show’s production team insists safety guidelines were followed, but a participant, Brook, claims they weren’t. Viewers are calling the resulting dinner party a disaster, and the conflict has escalated beyond a simple disagreement between brides to a serious question of whether proper care was provided.

If someone says they were too drunk to be filmed, and they tell producers this before the show airs, then using the footage is no longer just entertainment – it’s a serious ethical problem.

In a recent conversation, Alessandra Rampolla not only stood by the way this season of Married At First Sight was edited, but implied that some of the participants should actually be grateful for how they were portrayed.

‘I think what we’re seeing is absolutely accurate,’ she told me matter-of-factly.

‘I think everything has been absolutely fair and oftentimes very kind to everybody involved.’

Kind? Let that sink in.

If you’ve followed this season, with all its drama, emotional outbursts, and intense moments, you might think you’ve already seen the worst these contestants have to offer.

According to Alessandra, we haven’t even scratched the surface.

She pointed out that a lot of compelling content often doesn’t make the final cut, suggesting the discarded footage could be just as impactful as what viewers actually see.

She strongly emphasized that things hadn’t been as bad as the difficult experiences everyone had already gone through.

Let me tell you, this isn’t some clumsy, cobbled-together translation. It’s actually a really refined and improved version of the original – a true upgrade, if you ask me!

Considering this show is often criticized for editing to create villains and exaggerating drama, that’s a strong statement. And it’s especially meaningful coming from someone who watched every unedited moment of the entire experience.

If this is the ‘kind’ version, I wouldn’t want to see the uncut one.
