Centrifuge and Pharos have announced a partnership focused on enabling institutional assets to be distributed and operated onchain through a shared infrastructure framework. Because, apparently, institutional finance needed a group hug from the blockchain world.

The deal targets assets, such as tokenized U.S. Treasuries (JTRSY) and AAA-rated structured credit products (JAAA). Imagine if your savings account was as exciting as a Netflix thriller-this is basically that, but with more acronyms.

The collaboration aims to solve the issue of distribution, which is one of the challenges faced by institutional onchain finance. A major concern is that many institutional assets remain difficult to access, fragmented across platforms, or passive once issued, despite the progress made by tokenization over the years. This partnership focuses on enabling institutional assets to move beyond issuance and remain usable within live onchain financial systems.
