It’s very unusual for games offered through subscriptions to not already be available for individual purchase on mobile. However, there’s one notable and, frankly, fantastic game that breaks this pattern.
I’m so excited that Hades, the amazing rogue-like from Supergiant Games, finally came to mobile on Netflix Gaming on March 19th! Honestly, it’s exactly the kind of game you want on your phone – perfect for quick play sessions whenever you have a few minutes. It’s already taking the gaming world by storm, and I totally get why!
As a big fan, I was really bummed when this game disappeared from Netflix Gaming! It meant I couldn’t play it on my phone anymore since it left the service on July 1st, 2025. It got me thinking though – is this going to become a common thing with mobile games? Will games that are only on these subscription services just vanish when they’re removed, or will they eventually get proper releases? It’s a bit worrying, honestly.
