Leeanna Walsman, who became well-known in a popular Australian teen movie over twenty years ago, is still thriving and looking fantastic.
Actress Pia Miranda, known for her role in ‘Looking for Alibrandi,’ was seen enjoying the sunny weather at Bondi Beach in Sydney on Tuesday. She caught the attention of onlookers as she relaxed by the water.
The actress, known for her role in the 2000 film alongside Pia Miranda and Kick Gurry, looked fantastic in a black bikini with gold accents while enjoying the water with a friend.
She went bare-faced for the laid-back outing and wore her signature curly blonde hair loose.
At times she was seen strolling and chatting with her gal pal, who wore a black one-piece.
This recent appearance happened over twenty years after Walsman first gained recognition in the film Looking for Alibrandi.
In the movie, she portrayed Carly Bishop, a wealthy student at the prestigious St. Martha’s College, and her story connected with those of the main characters.
This role brought her to the attention of Australian viewers and kickstarted a successful career in movies, TV, and stage productions.
After finding success with Looking For Alibrandi, Walsman gained international recognition by appearing in Star Wars: Episode II – Attack of the Clones (2002), where she played the bounty hunter Zam Wesell.
She went on to have a successful television career, appearing in popular shows like Underbelly, Rescue: Special Ops, The Secret Daughter, Wakefield, and The Wrong Girl.
She’s also famous for playing Erica Davidson in the popular Foxtel series, Wentworth.
Leeanna recently appeared in the Nine Network drama Human Error (2024), which was her most significant role on free-to-air television to date.
She told TV Tonight that, before Jessica in 2004, she’d never been the main character in a TV series, particularly one on a major network like Channel Nine.
I’ve definitely grown as an actor. Looking back, I’ve often been a lead in group projects, especially in theater, which has been amazing. This role feels particularly significant, probably because I’m older and have a better understanding of everything happening around me.
In addition to her work on television and film, Leeanna is also a seasoned stage performer, having appeared in productions with leading theatre companies like Sydney Theatre Company and Belvoir.
