Clash of Clans: How to beat the Cloud Contest Challenge

Clash of Clans is celebrating the Lunar New Year with a lot of exciting events! The seasonal challenges have begun, and the Cloud Contest is now active. I’m here to share a simple strategy to easily defeat this base and earn three stars.

Introducing the Cloud Contest Challenge in Clash of Clans

The Cloud Contest Challenge is here, offering a chance to test out a unique hero ability this month. It showcases the new Stick Horse item for the Barbarian King, which will be available in the upcoming Metal Event. This equipment lets the Barbarian King jump over walls and move and attack faster.

The rewards will stay the same as before. Successfully completing a three-star attack will earn you resources, plus 400 XP, 25 Gems, and 1 Hero Potion.

How to beat the Cloud Contest Challenge in Clash of Clans

To succeed in the Cloud Contest Challenge, keep the Barbarian King in control during the entire attack. Start by placing him in the top deployment zone, getting him as close as you can to the Scattershot located on the north side of the base.

Okay, so first things first, you gotta tap that Scattershot right away to get the King to target it. With my Stick Horse equipped, he moves and attacks way faster during this first part. Once the Scattershot goes down, the Super Valkyrie unlocks, and then the real action starts – it’s go time!

Okay, so after that, I always tap on the Healers to keep the King nice and healthy. Then, I steer him towards the Wizard Tower – it takes two good hits to destroy that thing! As soon as it falls, I quickly activate the Rage Spell – those fireworks are awesome! – and then I tap the Ice Golem right after.

Once you’ve defeated the enemy heroes, select the Single Target Inferno. The Stick Horse ability should be ending around now. Then, move the King back up the map and tap the Town Hall to destroy it.

After taking out the Town Hall, move your King towards the Super Wizard Tower. Once the tower is destroyed, immediately use your Rocket Balloons to limit the damage from the Monolith. Then, as soon as possible, deploy the Super Valkyrie from the bottom of the base.

Once the Super Valkyrie sets off the Rage Spell, lead your King to either the enemy Grand Warden or the Super Wizard Tower if it hasn’t been destroyed. After that, select your Witches and move the King towards the Firecrackers located at the far north end of the base.

Once the King gets close to the Firecrackers, use his special ability, then move him towards the Haste Spell fireworks. After that, guide him around to the other side so he can attack the Freeze Spell Tower. You can relax after that – the rest of the base should fall quickly.
