Okay, so huge news for Subnautica fans! The sequel, Subnautica: Below Zero, is finally coming to mobile! I was so excited to hear this – it’s a totally separate story from the first game, but still set in that awesome underwater world. You can pre-register for it right now on both Android and iOS, so I definitely recommend doing that if you’re as hyped as I am!
In Subnautica: Below Zero, you explore frozen biomes, new creatures, and aliens
If you enjoyed the original game, this sequel expands on it with freezing waters, new dangers, and a more emotional storyline. Originally released on PC and consoles in 2021, it’s now available on mobile after a five-year wait, and is predicted to be as popular as the first Subnautica, which came out last year.
Below Zero takes place on a frozen alien planet where you play as a survivor searching for your missing sister after a crash. You’ll explore icy oceans and discover new environments, bizarre creatures, and alien mysteries, all while needing to watch your hunger, oxygen levels, and stay warm.
Below Zero continues the core gameplay that makes Subnautica so engaging. Players will collect materials, construct underwater habitats, and create equipment and vehicles to venture into increasingly challenging environments. The new Snowfox allows for travel over icy landscapes, and the customizable Seatruck makes exploring the ocean floor easier than ever.
The game has been redesigned for mobile devices with a touch-friendly interface, and your progress is automatically saved in the cloud. Android players can also earn achievements through Google Play Games. The developers have also improved performance, making it smoother and more enjoyable to play on phones and tablets.
