The new Spider-Man movie, Spider-Man: Brand New Day, is now playing in theaters. Like most Marvel Cinematic Universe films, it includes a scene after the credits, so be sure to stay until the very end!
Producer Amy Pascal has hinted that the latest Spider-Man movie starring Tom Holland could launch a new series of films. Whether that happens depends on how well the movie performs in theaters. Fans are also curious about what’s next for Peter Parker and why he wasn’t included in Avengers: Doomsday.
With the release of the movie, it’s confirmed that Spider-Man: Brand New Day includes one extra scene after the credits roll. You’ll find it at the very end, after all the credits have finished playing β there are no scenes during the credits themselves.
If you didn’t catch the extra scene after the credits, don’t worry β we’ve got you covered. Be warned, though: what follows contains spoilers!

Spider-Man: Brand New Day post-credit scene explained
The extra scene after the credits of Spider-Man: Brand New Day is different from most Marvel movies because it doesn’t show any characters. Instead, it focuses on Ned’s app, which he created to try and figure out who Spider-Man really is.
A report of a new Spider-Man appears on the app, but his location is unknown. The app begins tracking him, leading it far beyond Queens, then out of the country, and eventually even off the planet. The screen flickers and malfunctions a few times before finally displaying: “Location found.”
What to Read Next
It’s unclear where Spider-Man is currently located. He could be far away, even in outer space. The strange glitches we’re seeing might mean the Spider-Tracker is somehow able to follow him across different universes, suggesting he’s been transported to another one. While this seems far-fetched β the app was created on Earth by someone unaware of other universes β it’s still a potential explanation.
Fans are guessing that the recent events might lead to Battleworld, a reality often associated with Doctor Doom, as seen in the comics after Avengers: Doomsday. This could explain why Doctor Doom isn’t in the next Avengers film β he may have been secretly transported to Battleworld.
Okay, so that little scene ended with a promise that Spider-Man will be back, which is awesome! But it’s leaving me wondering how he’ll return. Will it be a quick cameo in Avengers: Doomsday, or are they just building up to something bigger with his role in Avengers: Secret Wars? I’m really hoping it’s the latter, but I’m trying not to get my hopes up too much!
