Fans have waited seven years for a new Jumanji movie, and it’s finally arriving in December! The trailer for Jumanji: Open World is now available, giving us a first look at the adventure.
This new movie is the fifth in the series, and the third one since the franchise was rebooted with Welcome to the Jungle in 2017. It continues the story from 2019’s The Next Level and features the return of many familiar faces.
Dwayne Johnson, Jack Black, Karen Gillan, and Kevin Hart are back as their characters from the previous film, alongside familiar faces like Alex Wolff, Danny DeVito, Madison Iseman, Morgan Turner, and Lamorne Morris.

This movie is advertised as the last one in the series and follows the main four characters – Smolder, Shelly, Ruby, and Mouse – as they try to stop a new disaster caused by Jumanji escaping from its game system.
Okay, so the trailer starts with these crazy animals just showing up in our world, which is wild. Then we finally see the team back together, hanging out in a diner. But here’s the catch – Spencer (played by Wolff) explains they’re somehow… stuck in demo mode! It’s a really weird situation, and I’m already hooked to find out what that even means.

We were trying to be heroes, but honestly, our real-world skills weren’t exactly cutting it. Things went from bad to worse when animals started going wild all over the city – a rhino was even causing chaos! We realized the only way to fix this and save everyone was to jump back into the game and deal with the problem there.
The latest film, Open World, reunites the creative minds behind the last two movies. Director Jake Kasdan again collaborated on the script with writers Scott Rosenberg and Jeff Pinkner. Dwayne Johnson not only stars in the movie but also helped produce it.

The new movie got a sneak peek at CinemaCon in April, where Dwayne Johnson described it as an incredibly exciting and ambitious adventure. He even called it his favorite installment in the series so far, which has built up a lot of excitement among fans (according to Deadline).
The upcoming Open World will honor Robin Williams, the beloved actor who starred as Alan Parrish in the original 1995 movie. Dwayne Johnson shared a touching message saying, “Robin, we dedicate this to you.”
Jumanji: Open World is released in cinemas on 25 December.
