Big news for Marvel fans at San Diego Comic-Con! Ryan Gosling is officially joining the Marvel Cinematic Universe and will play the fiery, motorcycle-riding hero Ghost Rider.
Kevin Feige, head of Marvel Studios, revealed the new title on Saturday during the yearly fan convention.
Shawn Levy, the director of this year’s blockbuster hit “Deadpool & Wolverine” – which became the highest-grossing R-rated film of all time – will also direct “Ghost Rider.” Currently, Levy and Ryan Gosling are collaborating on a “Star Wars” project called “Starfighter,” with Jonathan Tropper writing the screenplay.
There’s also exciting news about “Black Panther 3”: director Ryan Coogler will be back to lead the film, which is scheduled to come out in 2028. British actor David Jonsson, known for his role in the show “Industry,” will take on the role of the new King of Wakanda, a role previously held by the late Chadwick Boseman, who sadly passed away from cancer in 2020.
