I was absolutely blown away by Rudy Guénaire’s apartment design! It’s this incredible, classic space with a stunning view of the Panthéon in Paris. He used these amazing steel details that remind me of Gae Aulenti’s work, and the floors are gorgeous – huge planks of German oak. What really got me was how he mixed custom furniture with Brazilian influences alongside vibrant onyx in the bathroom. It’s such a unique and beautiful combination!
I was completely blown away by Rudy Guénaire’s newest project – this incredible apartment he designed in Paris! It’s on one of the top floors of an old 1920s building, and you get these amazing views of the city and even the Panthéon. What really got me is how he created this feeling of being outside of time; it’s like he effortlessly blended different periods and used some really cool, modern materials to make everything feel dreamy and timeless. The floors are six-meter-long oak planks that are unbelievably soft and quiet, but then you walk in the door and there’s this sleek, geometric stainless steel entrance that reminded me of a famous building in Florence – it’s just brilliant!
Most of the furniture in the apartment was created specifically for this project by Guénaire, taking inspiration from the graceful style of Brazilian modern design. This custom approach is immediately noticeable in the living room, with pieces like a coffee table made of marble and pearwood—inspired by Elsa Peretti’s famous Bean design—and lights that blend stainless steel with clear acrylic, reminiscent of lighting styles popular in the 1920s. The space also includes carefully chosen art and objects, such as an Esther armchair by Esther Hess, paintings by Peter Marcasiano from DS Galerie, and a pendant light from the Solomon Islands sourced from Galerie Lucas Ratton.
The impressive doors to the main bedroom highlight the project’s focus on quality materials and skilled artistry. One side features detailed stainless-steel work surrounding handmade glass panels created by Raphael Barrois, while the other side showcases beautiful amboyna burl wood with brushed stainless-steel accents.
The bedroom is designed as a peaceful escape with custom bedside tables featuring hidden hinges and a bed upholstered in soft suede. This focus on quality materials continues into the bathrooms, which are strikingly decorated with colorful Iranian onyx. The parents’ bathroom features lagoon blue onyx, while the daughters’ showcases a vibrant strawberry-pink hue – demonstrating the studio’s ability to blend natural beauty with elegant Parisian style.
