I’ve been watching Cardano closely, and it’s really stood out this past week! It’s one of the top-performing cryptos in the top 100, with its price jumping about 8% to around $0.17. Pretty good gains!
Recent signs indicate the current market rise could be just beginning, but there’s also a strong possibility we might see a dip soon.
Bulls vs. Bears
Big Cardano (ADA) investors, often called ‘whales’ in the crypto world, recently increased the amount of ADA they hold to 25.6 billion coins. This is nearly 70% of all ADA currently available, the highest amount since February 2023. Interestingly, smaller, individual investors have been selling some of their ADA. According to the data analysis firm Santiment, this combination of large investors buying and smaller investors selling could be a positive sign for the future price of ADA.
According to recent reports from analyst Ali Martinez, large cryptocurrency holders—known as whales—have bought $5 million worth of a particular digital asset in the past month, totaling 30 million units. This renewed activity suggests these investors expect the price to increase soon.
A popular idea in cryptocurrency is that large investors – often called ‘whales’ – get advance knowledge about important news or events that could change an asset’s price. They don’t usually make moves based on guesswork alone. However, their actions can attract smaller investors and bring new money into the market.
As part of my research, I’ve been looking closely at Cardano (ADA) and one promising sign is its Relative Strength Index, or RSI. This tool helps me gauge if a price trend might be about to change by measuring how quickly and dramatically the price has moved recently. Right now, ADA’s RSI is around 28, which suggests it’s currently oversold – meaning we could potentially see a price increase soon. Generally, an RSI below 30 indicates this oversold condition, while anything above 70 would signal that a correction might be coming.

Despite the positive signs, there’s a concerning trend: more investors are moving their cryptocurrency from personal wallets to centralized exchanges. This increases the risk of immediate price drops, as these exchanges could potentially sell off large amounts of crypto.

Recent Predictions
Experts watching the cryptocurrency market on platform X have observed Cardano (ADA) starting to recover, and anticipate further price increases soon. One analyst, known as Master of Crypto, predicts ADA could reach $0.219 if this upward trend holds.
Some analysts, like Javon Marks, are very optimistic and predict significant price increases for ADA – potentially much higher than current levels. Marks believes ADA is approaching a critical point that could lead to a rise to $2.90. Celal Kucuker recently added to this optimism, forecasting an even larger increase to $5.
