Rumors have been circulating for months about a new LEGO Star Trek set, and now it’s officially been announced.
Following their initial release inspired by the U.S.S. Enterprise NCC-1701 last year, LEGO is now offering a more detailed set that recreates the ship’s famous bridge and includes new Starfleet characters.
The LEGO Icons Star Trek: U.S.S. Enterprise N.C.C.-1701 Bridge is a remarkably detailed model of the ship’s command center, and it’s surprisingly affordable at £159.99 – less than half the cost of last year’s first Star Trek LEGO set, which now sells for £349.99.
This version of the model highlights the bridge and transporter room, which can be rearranged to create a large display screen, as shown below.
The U.S.S. Enterprise NCC-1701 Bridge LEGO set is impressively detailed – and appropriately sized with 1,701 pieces, a fun reference to the ship’s registry number.
The building contains computer workstations, a large screen displaying a Klingon warrior, and a transporter pad.
