JJJJound and PORTER have collaborated on a new collection of four bags designed for practicality and everyday use. The Montreal-based studio and the Japanese brand focused on creating functional designs perfect for activities like commuting or biking. The collection includes a key pack, drawstring bag, messenger bag, and backpack, all in black and built with a clear purpose.
This collection is made with durable, consistent materials throughout. Each item features a tough, water-resistant nylon ripstop exterior that can withstand tears and light rain, reinforced with a structured tarpaulin. The interior is lined with a quilted nylon jacquard subtly patterned with the PORTER logo. High-quality metal hardware – including name tags, buckles, and cord stoppers – all display the JJJJound logo, creating a cohesive look. The three larger bags also include a unique Tyvek name tag inside.
The Key Pack is our smallest option – a lightweight (just 120 grams!) coin and card holder. It comes with a removable strap, letting you wear it as a lanyard or use it as a small pouch. Inside, there’s even a key ring to keep your keys organized.
The Drawstring Bag is the next size up, perfect for carrying essentials like your wallet or phone. It features side pockets with zippers for easy access and adjustable shoulder straps that are comfortable to wear even with a coat. You can easily switch between carrying it by hand, over your shoulder, or across your body.
The two main items are the most practical. The Messenger Bag is designed for daily commutes and can hold standard-sized documents. It features a zippered pocket on the flap and a webbing system that lets you attach extra pouches or accessories. A stretchy, reflective cord on the outside is useful for securing a jacket or light. The Backpack is a 19-liter daypack with an internal flat pocket for organization and also includes the same reflective cord system for attaching items like a jacket while you’re on the go.
The collaboration between JJJJound and PORTER will be available starting July 24th at PORTER stores throughout Asia, as well as on the official Yoshida & Co. website.
