In addition to Sir David Attenborough reaching a remarkable milestone – his 100th birthday – 2026 will also be the 100th anniversary of another beloved character: Winnie the Pooh.
Winnie-the-Pooh first appeared in stories published by A.A. Milne in 1926. Over the last century, he’s become incredibly popular around the globe. Disney has owned the rights to Pooh for over 60 years, introducing him to new audiences and giving him a slightly updated look.
As a huge Winnie-the-Pooh fan, I’m so excited to see everyone celebrating 100 years! There are tons of special things coming out – they’re re-releasing classic stories and even making limited edition plushies. And it’s not just official stuff; there’s all sorts of new Pooh-themed goodies popping up, plus really cute handmade items on Etsy if you look around.
You can also visit Tatton Park, run by the National Trust! They have a special exhibition happening now through September 6th, featuring a fun Christopher Robin maze and an exciting adventure playground.
