England WAG Megan Pickford gets trapped in ’24 hours of airport hell’ as her flight home from the World Cup is cancelled and she is forced to sleep in the ‘freezing’ terminal with three kids

Megan Pickford shared that she experienced a very difficult 24-hour ordeal at the airport when her flight back from the World Cup was cancelled.

Okay, so Jordan Pickford’s wife, Megan, has been absolutely amazing, following the England team all over America! I’ve been tracking her on social media, of course. But it’s just so sad… after that awful loss to Argentina in the semi-finals, she started heading back home this weekend. My heart breaks for her and for the whole team, honestly. It was so close!

After losing her luggage at the World Cup, Megan’s trip home turned into a terrible experience when she and her three children were stranded at the airport and forced to sleep in the cold terminal.

She explained in a TikTok video that they had to reschedule their flight because their original flight was delayed on the runway for six hours and then cancelled due to flight staff reaching their maximum working hours.

Megan and her three children – seven-year-old Arlo, three-year-old Ostara Haze, and fifteen-month-old Misty Celine – had to spend the night at the airport after collecting their luggage.

She explained that she needed to buy a new sweatshirt from the gift shop because the air conditioning made it cold.

After checking in for their next flight, Megan and her family found they had a six-hour layover in the airport.

Once they finally got on the plane, they had to wait an additional two hours because a part was missing. She then informed her followers that the flight might even be cancelled.

Oh my gosh, you guys, I was SO worried about Megan! Her travel day was a total disaster, and everyone was freaking out with her. But then she finally posted a quick video yesterday – thank goodness! – to let us know her flight did actually take off. Seriously, such a relief just seeing that!

Megan shared a video of her three children snuggled up and sleeping on top of her. She wrote in the caption that she was enjoying the feeling of finally heading home, comparing it to watching a plane take off.

Okay, so picture this: my clients, Megan and her family, had a car service pick them up, and now they’re finishing their trip with a drive up north – London to Manchester, specifically! It’s all about seamless travel for me, making sure every leg of the journey is comfortable and stress-free.

I was so thrilled to see that Jordan arrived back in England with the team on Sunday! They ended their incredible World Cup run strong, taking home third place after an amazing 6-4 victory over France. It really was a fantastic finish.

Similar to the other England players’ partners this year, Megan brought a stylish, designer wardrobe with her to support the team at the World Cup games.

Megan’s plans to show off her new look were disrupted when her airline lost her luggage, causing a week-long delay.

Just before Tuesday’s game between England and Ghana, Megan shared the good news that her lost luggage had been found.

On Monday night, Megan shared a funny video online showing what happened when she opened her hotel room door: there was her luggage waiting for her!

Wearing pink sweats, Megan wheeled her suitcase into her room and embraced it tightly as the song ‘Honey Honey’ by Abba played in the background.

She announced that a special delivery had arrived and she wouldn’t let it out of her sight until after tomorrow’s game, finishing her message with the hashtag #suitcasegate.

Ellie Watkins, another WAG, commented with a cheerful ‘Hahaha so happy for you!’ Meanwhile, Megan joked that the first thing she’d purchase was an AirTag to keep track of her luggage.
