I’m so excited! Zenith finally revealed the new watch they were teasing during our factory tour! It’s a collaboration with Naoya Hida & Co., and it’s called the G.F.J. Calibre 135 Double Signed. It looks incredible!

Launching on June 2, 2026, Zenith is introducing its “Double Signed Program,” a modern take on a classic watchmaking tradition where both brands involved sign the finished piece, symbolizing a shared history. The first watch created through this program is a collaboration with Naoya Hida & Co., a Japanese brand celebrated for its precise design and love of vintage mechanical watches. The partnership began with a natural connection between Zenith’s Romain Marietta and Naoya Hida, who has long admired Zenith’s famous Calibre 135 movement since the 1990s.

This watch boasts a 39mm platinum case and a stunning solid silver dial. The dial features intricately hand-engraved details, filled with rich blue Japanese lacquer and signed by both Zenith and Naoya Hida & Co. It’s a testament to detailed craftsmanship, with gold hour and minute hands, a heat-blued steel seconds hand, and a sapphire caseback showcasing the hand-wound Calibre 135 movement. This movement provides a 72-hour power reserve, is officially certified for accuracy (COSC), and features beautiful finishing with Geneva stripes, ruthenium treatment, and gold accents. Key technical features include a large balance wheel, a Breguet overcoil, and a special regulator designed by Charles Fleck, all contributing to the watch’s exceptional precision.

This unique watch comes with three handcrafted straps: black Himeji Kurozan leather, Kyoto Wagyu leather, and Kaihara indigo denim. It combines traditional Swiss watchmaking with the skills of Japanese artisans. Priced at $75,000, the G.F.J. Calibre 135 Double Signed offers a subtle yet complex design, bringing together Zenith’s renowned technical expertise and the design vision of Naoya Hida. As we previously hinted, this release builds on the history of the Calibre 135 and marks an exciting new step in collaborative watch design. You can find more details on Zenith’s website.
