Genshin Impact Version 6.6 was released on May 20, 2026, and will be available until July 2, 2026. Players who don’t spend money on the game can earn free Primogems by participating in the new update. This guide estimates how many free Primogems each player can get by completing all the content in Genshin Impact 6.6.
How to Get 9,010+ Primogems for free in Genshin Impact Version 6.6 Update
1. Daily Commissions
The new update will last for six weeks, as always. If you complete your daily commissions on time, every day for those 42 days, you’ll earn a total of 60 Primogems. This means you could get as much as 2520 Primogems (60 Primogems per day for 42 days)!
2. Spiral Abyss
The Spiral Abyss refreshes every 30 days, specifically floors 8 through 12. Completing floor 12-3 of the Spiral Abyss earns you 800 Primogems each time it resets. With the Version 6.6 Update, the Spiral Abyss will reset once, offering a total of 800 Primogems for this update’s reset.
3. Imaginarium Theatre
Okay, so the Imaginarium Theatre is resetting twice in Version 6.6, which is awesome! If I can beat Visionary Mode, I’ll get 1000 Primogems each time it resets. That means I can snag a total of 2000 Primogems just from the Imaginarium Theatre in this update – not bad at all!
4. Paimon’s Bargains Shop (Stardust Exchange)
Paimon’s Bargains Shop has a “Stardust Exchange” where you can trade Stardust for Fates – specifically, 5 Acquaint Fates and 5 Intertwined Fates. Keep in mind that the shop refreshes its stock monthly, so don’t forget to buy the Fates before the reset!
The Paimon’s Bargains shop will refresh once during this update. You’ll be able to get 10 Intertwined Fates (worth 1600 Primogems) and 10 Acquaint Fate during the June and July 2026 refresh.
5. HoYoLAB Daily Check-In
Every month, Genshin Impact offers daily rewards through the HoYoLAB website and app. By simply checking in each day, you can earn a total of 60 Primogems.
Earn 60 Primogems every month by completing all the daily tasks. You can receive a total of 100 Primogems during this event.
6. Genshin Impact Version 6.6 Maintenance Compensation
Whenever Genshin Impact releases a new update, the game needs about 5 hours of maintenance. Once maintenance is complete, you can log in and enjoy the update, plus you’ll receive 600 Primogems as a reward in your in-game mail.
7. Genshin Impact Version 6.7 Livestream
I was so excited during the livestream when HoYoverse dropped three new codes! Each one gives you 100 Primogems, which means we can get a total of 300! Just a heads-up, though – these codes don’t last forever, so make sure you redeem them quickly, because they expire in about 16 to 24 hours. You can find all the Genshin codes right here if you haven’t already!
8. Test Runs
So, when a new five-star character gets a banner, they always let you try them out first with a test run. It’s a great way to see how they play! And the best part? After you finish the test run, they give you 20 Primogems, plus some materials to help you level up that character if you decide to pull for them.
With the 6.6 update, two new playable characters, Nicole and Lohen, will be added to the game, along with the return of Durin and Mavuika. Players can earn 80 Primogems through these additions.
9. Limited Events and Stygian Onslaught
Here is a list of all the limited events we will be getting during the 6.6 update patch:
- Stygian Onslaught (450 Primogems)
- Mini Event (420 Primogems)
- Main Event (970 Primogems)
- Mini Event (420 Primogems)
We can get 2340 Primogems in total from this event.
10. Achievements
I’m so excited about the new game update! They’ve added a ton of new achievements, and even a whole new category of them! It’s all thanks to the new region, quests, and all the extra exploration stuff they’ve included. Plus, if you manage to complete all of the achievements, you get 45 Primogems as a reward. Definitely a great incentive to explore everything!

As a free player, I’ve been keeping track, and it looks like we can get around 9,010 Primogems just from the game itself! That’s enough for approximately 63 Intertwined Fates, which is awesome!
