Story Highlights
- Clash Royale Season 84 “Stone Cold” arrives in June 2026 with Princess Evolution and Hero Tombstone.
- June’s balance update nerfs several Evolutions, Heroes, and spell Crown Tower damage.
With summer ending, Supercell is launching the June 2026 update for Clash Royale, introducing Season 84: Stone Cold. This season includes a new Evolution for the Princess, a new Hero called Tombstone, exciting seasonal events, and a significant update to game balance. It continues the trend of adding both Heroes and Evolutions, as previously announced. Here’s a detailed look at everything new in Clash Royale Season 84.
Clash Royale Season 84 “Stone Cold” June 2026 Overview
New Evolution: Princess
In Season 84, Princess gains a new ability called Ice Arrows. After each attack, her first and third attacks will fire icy arrows that slow down enemies in a small area. These arrows also create a frozen zone on the ground that continues to slow down any troops who pass through it. This slowdown affects how quickly enemies move, attack, and spawn new units.
Princess can now battle using both fire and ice! She starts by shooting ice arrows, and then fires them again every few attacks. Even when defeated, she leaves behind icy arrows as a final, freezing surprise! ❄️

The Evolution update introduces a new effect: when Princess is defeated, she leaves behind an additional ice field to slow down enemies. Reaching Princess Evolution takes two cycles, so you’ll have an evolved Princess in roughly one out of three battles. You can unlock it from the beginning of the season by progressing through Pass Royale or by using Evolution Shards.
New Hero Tombstone
The newest Hero, Tombstone, introduces a special ability called Regal Revival. When used, the Tombstone changes into the Tomb Queen, a durable unit that focuses on destroying buildings and constantly creates Skeletons around itself.
The Hero ability costs 6 Elixir, which is a lot compared to other Hero abilities. When the Tomb Queen transforms, she regularly creates Skeletons, and even more appear when she’s defeated.
Tombstone isn’t unlocked through Pass Royale like some newer Heroes. You can get it for free during the Undead Bazaar event, which works much like last season’s Festival Market.
Free and Diamond Pass Royale Overview
Clash Royale’s Season 84 features the usual Pass Royale system, offering rewards through both a free and a paid track. The specific rewards you get depend on how far you progress and what Arena you’re in.

Balance Changes for June 2026 in Clash Royale
The latest June update significantly weakens several Heroes and Evolutions, while also providing some helpful improvements to others.
Nerfs
Hero Balloon
- Skeletrooper Landing Damage: 307 → 263 (-14%)
Hero Balloon’s Skeletroopers were too good at quickly eliminating enemy support troops with moderate health. We’ve adjusted this, so those troops can now withstand one more attack.
Hero Bowler
- Ability Duration: 9s → 7.3s (-19%)
Hero Bowler was previously too powerful during Siege Mode. We’ve shortened the mode’s duration, limiting how many long-distance shots he can get off in one use.
Hero Dark Prince
- Deploy Time: 2s → 1s (-50%)
- Tiles Needed for First Charge: 0 → 2.5 tiles
- Rhino Crown Tower Spawn Damage: 307 → 0 (-100%)
The Hero Dark Prince has been updated to work better against the Rhino. Now, the Rhino won’t automatically damage the Crown Tower right after it appears.
Inferno Dragon Evolution
- Charge Duration: 9s → 7s (-22%)
The Evolved Inferno Dragon was switching between defense and offense too slowly. By shortening the time it takes to charge its attacks, it will be harder for it to quickly take control of battles.
Lumberjack Evolution
- Crown Tower Damage: 256 → 128 (-50%)
Lumberjack Evolution is still very durable, but its ghostly form was causing too much damage to towers that players couldn’t prevent. This change reduces how much offensive power it has.
Mortar Evolution
- Deploy Time: 0.2s → 0.5s (+150%)
Before the recent changes, Goblins fired from Evolved Mortars were very difficult to defend against once launched. Now that it takes longer for them to deploy, defenders have more time to respond.
Mega Knight Evolution
- Heavy Troop Knockback: 4 tiles → 2.5 tiles (-38%)
The upgraded Mega Knight was making it too easy to quickly win games. We’ve reduced its knockback effect, giving tanks and close-combat troops a better opportunity to advance.
Furnace
- Range: 6 tiles → 5.5 tiles (-8%)
The Furnace used to be difficult to approach because it could attack from so far away. This update encourages it to get a little closer to the action, making it less safe.
Graveyard
- Skeleton Count: 13 → 12 (-8%)
Graveyard was recently updated, and it became too good at consistently damaging towers. Reducing the number of Skeletons it spawns makes it a little less predictable.
Rascals (Boy)
- Hitpoints: 1940 → 1832 (-6%)
Okay, so they tweaked Rascal Boy after the last update. He was getting a little too tanky, honestly. This HP reduction they did? It makes him beatable again, which is good. I was getting frustrated trying to break through him before!
Tesla
- Lifetime: 30s → 25s (-17%)
- Hitpoints: 1152 → 1182 (+3%)
Tesla used to remain functional for extended periods due to a hidden internal system. Now, with a reduced lifespan, it’s less likely to be used for purely defensive strategies, but a health increase ensures it can still withstand damage in battle.
Crown Tower Damage Reduction for Spells
We’ve lowered the damage some spells deal to Crown Towers to discourage players from repeatedly casting spells without attacking and to promote more aggressive, direct attacks.
- Arrows: 93 → 75 (-19%)
- Earthquake: 159 → 147 (-8%)
- Fireball: 207 → 172 (-17%)
- Freeze: 45 → 37 (-18%)
- Giant Snowball: 54 → 45 (-17%)
- Lightning: 286 → 265 (-7%)
- Poison: 184 → 168 (-9%)
- Rage: 54 → 45 (-17%)
- Rocket: 371 → 343 (-8%)
- The Log: 41 → 37 (-15%)
- Vines: 76 → 70 (-8%)
- Zap: 58 → 48 (-17%)
Buffs
Dart Goblin Evolution
- Poison Damage Stage 1: 51 → 64 (+25%)
- Poison Damage Stage 2: 115 → 128 (+11%)
The recent changes address a previous adjustment that weakened the Evolved Dart Goblin a bit too much. These updates give him back some of his ability to control the battlefield with poison, but don’t make him as overwhelmingly powerful as he once was.
Electro Dragon
- Hitpoints: 998 → 1049 (+5%)
The Electro Dragon has often been too fragile for its cost of 5 Elixir. Increasing its health makes it better able to withstand common spell attacks.
Goblin Giant
- Hitpoints: 3020 → 3110 (+3%)
The Goblin Giant is a bit tougher on the battlefield now, as a previous weakening has been partially reversed, making it more durable in the front lines.
Rune Giant
- Damage: 120 → 153 (+28%)
Rune Giant now deals significantly more damage, making her a stronger attacker against buildings and Crown Towers.
