Following the successful launch of BEAMS America in 2025, the popular Japanese store is building partnerships with American brands. Building on their recent collaboration with Timberland – which included six different shoe styles – BEAMS is now teaming up with JanSport and Eastpak for a special 50th anniversary collection.

BEAMS is known for its unique designs using different fabrics, like the popular Harris Tweed Balmacaan Coat and Madras shirts. Now, they’re applying that same creative approach to American backpacks. This collaboration, called the “Hybrid Pack,” combines the best features of two VF Corp backpack brands into one practical and highly sought-after bag.

The bags are designed to look like classic school backpacks seen in classrooms and on campuses nationwide. They’re made of nylon and feature a split design, with the JanSport logo on top and the Eastpak logo on the bottom. The design comes in two-tone color combinations, as well as solid black and gray options.

JanSport and Eastpak both began in the mid-1900s, with Eastpak originally making bags for the US Army. This collaboration blends their American and military backgrounds, making it a perfect fit for BEAMS’ 50th anniversary celebration and their growing popularity in the United States.
