Band of Brothers Is One of the Best Shows of All Time

The series was adapted from Stephen E. Ambrose’s 1992 book of the same title. Created and produced by Steven Spielberg and Tom Hanks, it was highly praised when it aired, winning an Emmy Award for best miniseries and is remembered as one of the first high-quality, dramatic television series.

This HBO war drama follows the 2nd Battalion of the 506th Parachute Infantry Regiment, part of the 101st Airborne Division during World War II. Richard Winters was an officer in the U.S. Army and a member of “Easy Company” as a paratrooper. In 2010, they released The Pacific, which is often seen as a follow-up to Band of Brothers. The series was well-received by critics, currently boasting an 89% rating on Rotten Tomatoes, and is also popular with viewers, ranking as the sixth most popular show on the Apple TV Store.
