Amazon Prime Video is getting a darkly comedic remake of the popular Nordic series The Trip, called Over Your Dead Body. Starring Samara Weaving and Jason Segel, the show centers on a struggling couple, Dan and Lisa, who retreat to a secluded cabin hoping to save their relationship—but both are secretly plotting to murder each other.
Their meticulously planned murders begin to fall apart when unexpected guests arrive, forcing the couple to face issues within their marriage and consider if they even want to stay together.
The film also stars Timothy Olyphant, Juliette Lewis, Keith Jardine, Paul Guilfoyle, and Jake Curran.
The new film, Over Your Dead Body, will be available to stream in the UK starting June 10th. It debuted at the South by Southwest Film & TV Festival earlier this year, where it received mostly good reviews from both audiences and critics.
The comedy thriller Over Your Dead Body has a 68% rating on Rotten Tomatoes. Critics agree the film offers a fun and thrilling experience, combining suspense with clever humor, and featuring strong performances – though it occasionally follows familiar tropes.
