Michael Fassbender’s 10-Part James Bond Replacement Officially Returns Next Month

Fans won’t have to wait much longer for Season 2 of the Michael Fassbender series! New episodes will be available on Paramount+ next month, roughly a year and a half after the show first launched.

Paramount+ announced that Season 2 of The Agency will debut on June 21, 2026, at 12 AM Pacific Time (3 AM Eastern Time). The first season, currently streaming on Paramount+, was released in late 2024 and quickly gained popularity. The streaming service also shared a trailer for the new season, which you can watch below.

The Agency Season 2 Unveils Official Trailer

The film stars Michael Fassbender as Brandon “Martian” Colby, a CIA agent who has built a secret life for himself. When his lover, Samia (Jodie Turner-Smith), is imprisoned in Sudan, he’ll stop at nothing – even risking everything – to rescue her. The deeper he gets involved, the more dangerous things become, and the only path forward is further into the conflict. He must navigate a perilous situation to save Samia, his own life, and the mission he’s on.

The show features a talented cast including Jeffrey Wright (known for The Batman), Katherine Waterson (Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them), Harriet Sansom Harris (Desperate Housewives), John Magaro (Orange Is the New Black), Saura Lightfoot-Leon (Masters of the Air), India Fowler (Fear Street: Prom Queen), Andrew Brooke (Andor), Christian Ochoa Lavernia, Reza Brojerdi (Boy Kills World), Ambreen Razia (Ted Lasso), Alex Reznik (Babylon), and a cast member from Pretty Woman.

The show features returning cast members Medalion Rahimi (known from NCIS: Los Angeles), Tessa Ferrer (Insidious: The Last Key), Clayne Crawford (Lethal Weapon), Keanush Tafreshi (The Morning After), and Raza Jaffrey (Code Black). Season 2 of The Agency also includes guest appearances by Dominic West (The Wire) and Hugh Bonneville (Downton Abbey).

The Story Continues in The Agency Season 2

Eric Rochant created the show, which is inspired by the French series Le Bureau des Légendes, also known as The Bureau. Season 2 is a collaboration between Paramount Television Studios and 101 Studios. Jez Butterworth and John-Henry Butterworth are back as writers and also serve as executive producers. Joining them are David C. Glasser, Ron Burkle, David Hutkin, and Bob Yari from 101 Studios; George Clooney and Grant Heslov from Smokehouse Pictures; Alex Berger from TOP – The Originals Productions; Ashley Stern and Pascal Breton from Federation Studios/Federation Entertainment of America; and Fassbender, Joe Wright, and Keith Cox.

The first season broke records, becoming Showtime’s most-watched new series ever with 5.1 million viewers worldwide. It was also the first series to launch as part of Showtime’s revamped programming, now offered as a premium option on Paramount+. We’ll find out in June if the second season is equally successful.

The Agency is streaming on Paramount+ with Showtime, while Season 2 set to debut on June 21.
