Well, well, well. Look who’s back in the spotlight, flaunting their crypto wallet like it’s a Birkin bag at a PTA meeting. After what can only be described as a series of “meh” Bitcoin purchases and a few missed opportunities that probably had his CFO sweating into their coffee, Michael Saylor has decided to remind us all that he’s still the king of the Bitcoin hill-or at least the guy with the deepest pockets.
In a move that screams “I’m not just rich, I’m extra rich,” Saylor’s NASDAQ-listed business intelligence software company (because who doesn’t love a good pivot from spreadsheets to speculation?) dropped a cool $2.01 billion on 24,869 BTC. That’s right, folks-nearly $81,000 per Bitcoin. Because why buy a yacht when you can buy a digital token that might or might not be worth something tomorrow?
This latest splurge brings his total stash to a jaw-dropping 843,738 BTC, purchased at an average price of $75,700 per coin. Quick math tells us he’s sunk almost $64 billion into this venture, which is currently valued at $65.2 billion. So, technically, he’s in the green. Barely. But hey, who’s counting? (Definitely his accountant, that’s who.)
Strategy has acquired 24,869 BTC for ~$2.01 billion at ~$80,985 per bitcoin and has achieved BTC Yield of 12.6% YTD 2026. As of 5/17/2026, we hodl 843,738 $BTC acquired for ~$63.87 billion at ~$75,700 per bitcoin. $MSTR $STRC

Of course, Saylor’s tweet reads like a financial flex, complete with enough numbers to make your head spin. “Hodl,” he says, because nothing screams confidence like misspelling “hold” on purpose. Meanwhile, the rest of us are over here wondering if we should buy Bitcoin or just stick to our 401(k)s and hope for the best.
But let’s be real-Saylor’s not just buying Bitcoin; he’s buying a legacy. Or maybe just a really expensive midlife crisis. Either way, it’s entertaining to watch. So grab your popcorn, folks, because whether this ends in triumph or tears, it’s going to be one hell of a show.
