If you’re looking for a gripping thriller to watch this weekend, consider Ultimátum. This show, originally from Slovakia and the Czech Republic, centers around a tense hostage situation that unfolds in a hospital.

I’m so excited – the whole series of Ultimátum is finally available to stream in the UK! Channel 4 is releasing all eight episodes today through their Walter Presents collection, and people are saying the tension just keeps building with each episode. Seriously, it sounds like you won’t be able to stop watching!

The film features Ján Koleník, Milan Bahúl, Ester Geislerová, Matyáš Valenta, and Alena Mihulová. It centers on a heartbroken ex-soldier who takes over a hospital’s heart unit, holding doctors and patients hostage. He demands answers about the military plane crash that claimed his son’s life.

The story follows police negotiator Daniel Andrik as he tries to resolve a crisis while his pregnant partner is caught in the middle. Simultaneously, doctors work to save a key government minister, and a major European summit takes place nearby. As Daniel investigates, he starts to suspect the official report on the incident isn’t telling the whole truth.

As political tensions rise and the situation grows increasingly dangerous, those involved are in a frantic struggle to reveal what really happened before anyone else gets hurt.
