Chief Keef is gaining attention in the sneaker community, and it seems he’s developing a close relationship with Adidas. The Chicago rapper recently shared a sneak peek on Instagram of a new colorway for Pharrell Williams’ distinctive Adistar Jellyfish shoe. This unreleased version features a bold black and green design, adding to the excitement around one of Adidas’ most innovative new lifestyle sneakers.
Past versions of the Adistar Jellyfish, such as the “Royal” and “Triple Black”, had a consistent, simple design. This new “Black/Green” colorway is much bolder and features a striking contrast. The shoe has a dark black base with bright white panels layered on top. Vivid green details pop against the darker colors, appearing on the toe, sides, heel, and the shoe’s thick sole.
Pharrell’s unique design is still clearly visible in this shoe. It keeps the bold, layered look, large details, and thick sole that made the Jellyfish so recognizable. This particular version uses strong color combinations that really highlight the shoe’s complicated and modern design.
The person wearing the shoes is just as noteworthy as the shoes themselves. This look at the “Black/Green” colorway follows recent sightings of Chief Keef wearing an unreleased “Hot Pink” version of the Adistar Jellyfish. Because he keeps getting early access to Pharrell’s new shoe designs, fans are speculating whether Chief Keef is preparing to become an official partner or brand ambassador for adidas Originals.
Currently, the Pharrell x adidas Adistar Jellyfish in black and green is only available to Chief Keef. adidas hasn’t announced any plans to release it to the public, so sneaker fans will have to wait and see if it becomes widely available, along with details on price and style codes.
