Seiko recently launched a special edition of its Prospex Diver’s Watch, known as the “Samurai,” to celebrate the company’s 145th anniversary. Founded in Tokyo in 1881, Seiko’s watches are beloved by fans, and the “Samurai” stands out with its bold, angular design, inspired by the shape of a samurai sword.

The new “Silverstone” watch is built to be incredibly dependable, even underwater. It can withstand water pressure up to 200 meters and has a rotating bezel to help divers keep track of time safely. The watch face is silver for easy reading, and the hands and markers glow brightly in the dark thanks to Seiko’s LumiBrite technology. Accents of a special “Seiko Blue” color add a stylish touch, and the back of the watch is uniquely engraved, marking it as a limited edition – only 9,999 will be made worldwide.

I’m really excited about this new watch! It comes with a super strong strap and the design – with those sharp, angled details – just makes it look really bold and confident. It seems like it’ll be great for both serious watch collectors and anyone who loves diving. You can pre-order it now directly from the Seiko Boutique online for £560 (which is about $715), and they’re saying it’ll ship starting in June 2026.
