URWERK has introduced the UR‑10 SpaceMeter Blue Final Edition, a rare timepiece that concludes their celebrated “10” series.

The UR‑10 isn’t just a watch; it’s designed to connect you to the movements of Earth and its place in the cosmos. While it looks like a classic round watch, it actually features three smaller dials that track planetary movements. One dial shows Earth’s daily rotation, moving with every 10 kilometers turned. Another tracks Earth’s orbit around the sun in 1,000 kilometer steps, and a third synchronizes these two movements together.

The watch’s caseback echoes the celestial theme with a 24-hour hand around the edge and engraved symbols illustrating Earth’s movements, essentially creating a miniature map of the skies. Inside, the innovative UR‑10.01 movement features a unique, patented turbine system with counter-rotating propellers that control how quickly the watch winds itself. The case is crafted from sandblasted titanium and measures 45.4mm in diameter, and it’s protected by a glare-resistant sapphire crystal. A beautifully finished blue dial, treated with a special ADL coating, is easy to read thanks to syringe-shaped hands filled with Super‑LumiNova. A titanium bracelet with a secure folding clasp completes the watch.

Only 25 of the UR‑10 SpaceMeter Blue Final Edition watches will be made, and they cost 70,000 Swiss francs (about $77,000 US dollars). The watch isn’t just technically impressive; it also honors the legacy of URWERK co-founder Felix Baumgartner, taking inspiration from an astronomical clock restored by his father. You can find more details on the URWERK website.
