Okay, so I’m really excited about the new adidas Samba Mule! It’s basically the classic Samba we all love, but they’ve taken the back off to make it a slip-on. It’s coming out in Summer 2026, and it’s designed to be super comfortable in hot weather without losing that classic Samba look and feel. It’s a really cool update to an iconic shoe!

This design choice focuses on function over aesthetics. Each of the three color options uses different materials in a specific order, and the mule style isn’t just a simplified Samba—it’s a thoughtful redesign of existing parts.

The “Off White/Preloved Brown” and “Beige” versions best capture the season’s style. Both are built with a breathable mesh material for the main part of the shoe, keeping them lightweight and cool, while leather around the toe adds support and shape. Suede is used for the iconic Three Stripes, maintaining the classic Samba look and feel. This combination creates a stylish shoe that doesn’t feel flimsy.

The Navy colorway has a more defined look. It features suede on the toe, leather on the sides, and knitted stripes – making it the most textured of the three designs. Unlike the Beige and Off-White versions which are made for relaxed, beachy wear, the Navy version keeps the classic Samba’s practical, work-focused feel through its choice of materials, even though it lacks a heel counter.

All three shoe designs come together with a matching tan gum sole, creating a common base that connects their different upper designs.
