Oasis documentary reveals moments that still define the band

For years, Oasis resisted the idea of a documentary. They also weren’t interested in being inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame. However, their perspectives seem to have shifted, as things often do.

The band’s documentary about their incredibly popular 2025 tour is coming to theaters for a short time beginning September 11th. Following the theatrical release, the movie—currently without a title—will be available to stream worldwide on Disney+, and on both Disney+ and Hulu in the U.S.

The new documentary is directed by Dylan Southern and Will Lovelace, and produced by Steven Knight, the acclaimed creator of Peaky Blinders. Disney says the film will offer an all-access look, including footage from rehearsals, behind the scenes, and onstage performances, as well as interviews with both Liam and Noel Gallagher.

Oasis set to release documentary in September

If you missed the tour, you can still experience Oasis with their documentary coming out in September. Whether this will be the band’s final tour remains a mystery.

Oasis hasn’t revealed their plans for the future, but it wouldn’t be shocking if they released a new album. Just like their recent tour came as a surprise, the band earned a lot of money from those shows – it was the second highest-grossing tour last year – and another tour offer with a good payout would likely be hard to resist.

Oasis’ last album, Dig Out Your Soul, came out in 2008. While it wasn’t their strongest work – many fans consider their first or second album to be their best – it was a solid effort, and a definite improvement over some of their music from the early 2000s.

Over the past twenty years, both Liam and Noel Gallagher have been working on their own musical projects, but they’ve never collaborated. Despite an upcoming Oasis documentary, this doesn’t necessarily mean the band is finished. There’s always a possibility of an Oasis reunion.
