Ed Sheeran is quietly causing chaos for the 2026 NFL schedule

Ed Sheeran is unstoppable, even for the NFL. It seems the league, despite being the most financially powerful sports organization in the world, had to adjust its game schedule to accommodate his concerts, proving Sheeran’s influence.

The singer is planning concerts at seven NFL stadiums on Saturdays this fall. The NFL had to coordinate its 2026 schedule – expected to be released in May – around Sheeran’s dates, demonstrating his significant influence.

The NFL could potentially still schedule games on the Sundays after Ed Sheeran’s concerts, though it would be tight. Crews dismantling the stage could work late into the night, but it would be a rush.

Ed Sheeran has a bit of control over the 2026 NFL schedule

Due to a popular musician’s tour, the game schedules for these teams might be slightly changed: the Philadelphia Eagles, New England Patriots, Atlanta Falcons, Indianapolis Colts, Carolina Panthers, Dallas Cowboys, and Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

Okay, so I’m a huge fan of these teams, but honestly, I can’t stand Ed Sheeran. It’s so frustrating that the game schedule was changed just for him! I was seriously thinking about writing a pretty angry letter about it, but what’s the point? They’re probably already too busy figuring out their outfits for the concert to even care!
