Phantom Blade Zero May Come to Other Platforms in the Future

There’s a possibility that Phantom Blade Zero could eventually be available on Xbox, hinted at by details in its marketing. Although The Game Awards 2025 highlighted many PlayStation 5 exclusives, it’s becoming increasingly common for these games to later appear on other platforms. Currently, Phantom Blade Zero is launching only for PS5 and PC, but it might also come to Xbox or even the Switch 2 down the line.

S-GAME’s new action RPG, first revealed in 2023, has quickly become highly anticipated. Many believe it will offer a similar experience to popular games like Wuchang: Fallen Feathers and Black Myth: Wukong. The recent announcement of a release date at The Game Awards has increased excitement, letting fans know they’ll be able to play within the next year. Now, after a closer look at the game’s trailer, it appears players might be able to enjoy the game on more than just PS5 and PC.

Phantom Blade Zero May Only Be a PS5 Console Exclusive for 12 Months

The latest trailer for Phantom Blade Zero highlights its fast-paced action and visual style, which is reminiscent of games made by FromSoftware. Interestingly, the trailer also reveals the game will initially be a PlayStation 5 exclusive. However, a small disclaimer states that other platforms might get the game at least twelve months after the PS5 and PC versions launch. While this doesn’t guarantee an Xbox or Switch 2 release, it suggests it’s a possibility further down the line. So, while Phantom Blade Zero won’t be available on those consoles before 2027, it’s not ruling out their release entirely.

S-GAME hasn’t confirmed if Phantom Blade Zero will be released on consoles other than PC, but it’s looking increasingly likely. After reports surfaced of an employee making negative comments about Xbox, the studio clarified that this view doesn’t represent the company’s values. While S-GAME didn’t directly address the alleged comment about Xbox being unnecessary, they did indicate they haven’t ruled out expanding to other platforms, suggesting a release on Xbox or the upcoming Switch 2 is still possible.

It’s hard to say for sure which consoles Phantom Blade Zero might come to. Right now, it’s only confirmed for PlayStation 5 and PC. However, if it becomes available on other platforms after a year of being exclusive, Xbox seems like the most likely option. Sony and Xbox have recently started releasing games that were once exclusive to their own systems on each other’s platforms – the Silent Hill 2 remake is even coming to Xbox unexpectedly in November 2025. That said, some games are also planned for the new Switch 2, so it’s still too early to rule anything out.
