The “Woven with Malice” quest is a side adventure in Worldly Affairs where you investigate the Celestial Silk Garment – a remarkably light yet incredibly durable piece of clothing. We’ll guide you through starting the quest and completing each step.

How To Start Woven With Malice

To begin the Woven with Malace quest, travel to the northeast of Buddha Fort in Sundara Land, Qinghe, and speak with the Scholar.

Wait for one in-game day to begin the quest.

Woven With Malice Quest Walkthrough

Okay, so after waiting a whole day, I had to go chat with the Scholar. Then, ugh, another full day of waiting! When I talked to him again, he was stuck inside the bell! Once I got him unstuck, he sent me off to a village nearby.

Head to the quest marker and speak with Little Needle. She’ll need a blue dye, a red dye, and some charcoal ash, so collect those and bring them to her. After you deliver the items, wait one full day in the game for her to finish making the garment. Then, return the completed garment to the Scholar.

Listen to the man’s conversation, then go to the bell to see if he’s okay. Grab the handkerchief and watch the scene that plays, then head south to find Monk Tranquillus.

First, speak with him, and then challenge him to a duel – you’ll need to do this twice. After that, find the second handkerchief, which is a little to the northwest, and present it to Monk Tranquillus.

Okay, so I chatted with Little Needle, then used a fire arrow to burn those vines blocking the cave entrance. After that, I had to talk to her again. Then, I told Monk Tranquillus about the trap I found. Now I’m looking for a good hiding spot and playing the waiting game!

Follow the mysterious woman, and then quickly return to Monk Tranquillus. Once he gives you the letter, speak with Little Needle and then go to the Northern Bamboo Grove. To save time, you can use the Bamboo Grove Boundary Stone to travel there faster.

Go to the Grove and speak with Little Needle, then find the stranger. Show the stranger your handkerchiefs, and talk to them again. After speaking with Little Needle once more, use Celestial Seize to steal the Boss’s Secret Letter from the stranger’s cart. Finally, explore the ruins and use Mighty Drop to break through the floor.

First, check out the cliff face. Then, use your Wind Sense ability in the forest to locate some people who are watching something. Find the glowing area nearby and stand close to it so you can overhear what they’re saying.

Go tell Little Needle something important, but be prepared – you’ll be knocked unconscious when you get close. After you wake up, pay attention to what the Pavilion Owner says, and then be ready to quickly press the button when prompted to warn people about a hidden attack.

After watching the scene, be sure to thank the two characters for rescuing you. Once they’ve gone, talk to Little Needle again to complete the quest.
