Homebois BSE shuts down Nova Esports’ trophy dream in KIC 2025

HomeBois BSE is a hugely popular team, particularly among fans of Malaysian HoK esports. They’ve been incredibly successful, consistently performing well in both local and international competitions. Many fans expected them to go far this year, given their strong track record. In the KIC 2025 Knockouts, Blacklist International provided their toughest challenge, pushing them to a seven-round match, but HomeBois ultimately won.

Nova also played incredibly well throughout the tournament. They weren’t defeated in the Knockout Stage until they faced Homebois in the Upper Bracket Final, where they lost 1-4. However, they fought their way back to the Grand Finals by winning against Alpha Gaming in the Lower Bracket Final.

The Grand Finals were all about Nova getting their revenge. However, for HomeBois, it was just another day at the KIC 2025 tournament.

Just another manic Sunday

The championship match of KIC 2025 took place on November 30, 2025, between HomeBois and Nova. Thousands of fans gathered at Ayala Malls in the Philippines to watch the two long-time rivals compete in a best-of-seven series, and the match was expected to be exciting from the start.

The first game quickly established the competitive atmosphere. Both teams fought hard in the beginning, with neither gaining a significant advantage. As the game progressed, Nova started to edge ahead, but Tat Yann “MusangKing” Chan’s skillful plays kept HomeBoise BSE in the running. GuiYu also played a key role by creating opportunities for his team. In the ninth minute, MusangKing broke through Nova’s defenses, shifting the momentum in HomeBoise’s favor. They secured control of the Overlord and pushed down the lane, breaking through Nova’s defenses and winning the first game.

The competition remained tight over the next three matches, but Nova couldn’t overcome HomeBois’s dominant performance. HomeBois played with incredible intensity and skill, proving too strong for any team to handle. Nova ultimately conceded defeat in just four rounds, crowning HomeBois as the KIC 2025 champions. HomeBois’s GuiYu was named the Finals MVP. The team will return to Malaysia as heroes, celebrated by proud fans.
