PS5 Open World Where Winds Meet Teases Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom Vehicle Building Mechanics

If you had fun creating vehicles to overcome challenges in The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, you’ll likely enjoy the open-world game Where Winds Meet on PS5.

The game, released worldwide last month, is receiving a major update in China that lets players construct basic vehicles like cars, boats, and planes.

The game lets you build things much like in the popular Nintendo series – you put different parts together to create whatever you need. A simple car, for instance, could be made by combining a wooden plank, four wheels, and an engine. Adding a steering mechanism would then let you control it more easily.

Players will be able to save their creations and share them with others. A helicopter design called the Flying Chicken will be used as a tutorial, and everyone will receive it for free.

Just a heads-up: Where Winds Meet has been out in China for over a year. Because of this, the servers most of you are playing on are significantly behind in updates. So, it will likely be a while before this new feature becomes available worldwide.

As a fan, I’m really glad to hear that the developers at Everstone Studios are taking their time with this new feature! It sounds like they’ll have plenty of opportunity to test everything and make it really polished before it launches internationally, which is awesome. Hopefully, that means we’ll all get a fantastic experience when it finally arrives!

Just a quick note: the mobile version of Where Winds Meet comes out on December 12th and will support crossplay with all other platforms. You can download it now on iOS and Android.

The new wuxia event has been a huge hit, drawing in nine million players across all platforms in only two weeks.
