In a new documentary about the Beckham family’s long-running conflict, Rebecca Loos criticized Victoria Beckham, stating that her son Brooklyn’s recent comments prove a point she made 22 years ago.

A woman who used to work as David’s personal assistant previously stated she had a relationship with the married footballer in 2004, but he has consistently denied the claims.

Last week, Brooklyn publicly cut off all contact with his family in a shocking six-page announcement. He stated he doesn’t want to rebuild their relationship and described his parents as controlling and manipulative.

It doesn’t matter who said it – her or Marc Anthony – the important thing is that the statement was insensitive and didn’t consider how others might feel.

Honestly, as someone who’s seen a lot of social situations, any mom would’ve likely sensed that moment was a little uncomfortable. I would have smoothly said something like, ‘Thank you, that’s very kind, but the most beautiful woman here is Nicola,’ and then immediately turned it over to her, suggesting she take the dance. It’s all about gracefully redirecting the attention!

Perhaps if the mother had overindulged and wasn’t aware of the situation, the father might have intervened and taken Nicola for a dance, switching partners so she could join in.

Just hours after Brooklyn made his shocking announcement, Rebecca joined the online argument.

Responding to a fan who thought Brooklyn’s statement might be personally affirming for her, Rebecca said she was thrilled to see him finally defend himself and speak out. She also expressed sympathy for his wife, saying she understood how difficult dealing with this kind of situation could be.

She echoed Brooklyn’s sentiment, commenting ‘the truth always comes out ❤️’, a phrase he himself used in a recent, strongly-worded statement: ‘I believe the truth always comes out.’

Rebecca, now living in Norway with her family, became internationally known in 2004 when she publicly revealed an affair with her supervisor, David.
